Well, okay, I've searched through the skill guides ingame, and this is what I've found the I wonder, is an ogre club used in any new quest?

Look, in attack, it's a really bad weapon :P

From rswiki

The Ogre club is a common drop from an ogress level 69, an Ogress Warrior level 86, or an Ogress Champion level 99. Wielding it requires 5 attack

Looks a nice quest, as well as being the first one I can do on the day of release since I joined members (not counting those holiday wannabes). Doesn't seem too special for 150, but I suppose its the first time Jagex have finished a quest series (Spirit of Summer and Summers End was a back-to-back two parter, not a series). So far I took the captain to the nursery, then it crashed on me :wall: :wall:

In the other news section, male ogres have finally been updated, I have yet to see them, but at least they shouldnt look like those dumb giants they did before. No strikes on Pvp I dont mind as I dont do Pvp anyways but it should slow down noobs on those worlds. Dont care about Party Room. Familiars in GE:evil: They were disallowed anyways and there was no need to increase the boundary. Less randoms in Chaos Tunnels, finally. A few days ago I was praying against Daggys, and about 5 seconds after they became passive an abyss decided to grab me. With only one attacking me I can survive for more than 3 seconds without prayer.

So the quest is unimpressive for 150, but decent, but the other news section and patch notes are quite impressive

So this should be worth the wait?

Sigh I found even wanted! quest more fun...

Also: If that confirmation screen is what I think it is, then I would hate that: its a terrible programming practice.. That alone would make me quit rs again - or at least, refrain from playing untill enough good content is added....

Modal alert dialogs are generally frowned upon by experts in usability and human-computer interaction, since they are prone to produce mode errors due to their unrequested nature. A study to appear at the Proceedings of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society showed that when a user dialog appears, the primary goal of users is typically to get rid of them as soon as possible[2] even without any analysis of the causes for the dialog appearance. When asked, users dismissed any dialog box as a distraction from their assigned task.

This is explained by a common complaint about the wording of the message in the alert box, which is often incomprehensible to the user. In applications without proper user-centered design, the developers decide the text of the message, including terms and concepts from the mental model of the programmer, not of the user's view of the world. Since the dialog doesn't work to accomplish the user needs, the common reaction will be to dismiss the alert without further consideration.[3]

Dangerous actions should be undoable wherever possible; a modal dialog that appears unexpectedly or which is dismissed by habituation will not protect from the dangerous action.[4] This problem can be avoided by providing an Undo action instead of a warning. [5]

Another recognized problem is that, as a modal window, the dialog blocks all workflow in the program until it is closed. Users may not recognize that the dialog requires their attention, leading to confusion about the main window being non-responsive, or causing loss of the user's data input. This often happens in data entry forms after an error alert produced by invalid data. The preferred design include changing a visual aspect of the input element to reflect an invalid entry (such as applying a red border), or adding a character such as an asterisk next to the input element that needs to be corrected.[6]

I haven't seen it yet though. But instead they should use a Toast or infobar

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

The Route-finding Update is the best update to running since Agility!

Zanik's Crossbow has about double the regular range attack bonus than a bone crossbow.

Also you can go back to the Throne Room and use it as a Agility course giving about 600 xp every trip requiring a grapple.

You can also fight the guardians in the if you climb them ranging from 50-200.

P.S. the teleport orb doesn't work.

Most anti-climactic quest ever... So many high hopes for this quest... And this is what we get ? waste of speculation, terrible month

Its an awesome quest it deserves to be 150th quest.

I've beaten it, nothing too excited. I enjoyed the storyline but that's it. I was hoping for a great reward and so far it hasn't impressed me compared to past "monumental" quests. Once the orbs start working, maybe I'll be happy...

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

Another horrible update. You know, I used to be the one defending Jagex from people like the current me. But Jagex has been [bleep]ing me lately. -.-

Finished too, would have been done a lot sooner without the hour I couldn't log in for because the server I was on crashed (After the servers came back up this was).

Quite disappointed with the quest to be honest, especially the last parts where it was just run around speaking to people and getting nothing out of doing so, seemed to just be there to make the quest seem longer than it really was.

Its currently the only way of doing it, to prevent the default behaviour of the browser + its cross-browser support. Its a confirm box and not an alert dialog which info bars can be replacements for.

A good Walkthrough for quest is located at viewtopic.php?f=113&t=787209 if anyone needs it.

If the walkthrough has overlooked a quest step please feel free to contribute there.

it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.

Just read that the Mace is 50 Attack + Strength to wield (my initial guess was a 70 Attack Mace) so here's what I think the stats will be (based on the Rune and Dragon Mace's)

Stab: +30

Slash: -2

Crush: +49

Magic: +0

Range: +0

----------

Strength: +45

Prayer: +4
