I'm thinking the name change has somehting to do with perhaps having multiple charaters per account on MechScape and the ability to change screenname will be replicated accross to RS too. The nickname thing sounds decent aswell, as long as people see the nickname first, without the main name. Having a real name as a user is so annoying. I was never expecting to enjoy the game so I got slack and just threw my name in there. First, you will have your normal login name that you will still have left. You will then also receive a special ingame display name. That name is the one you will be able to change. I wouldn't change this account name but I may change my main's name. They said you will be able to know who your friends are even after the change. I am interested to find out how they are going to work that. They really do need to delete all of the accounts that never made it off tutorial island. That would free up a lot of names. over9000def Posted July 14, 2009 Share Posted July 14, 2009 I'd change my name to Lowc but I doubt it will be changed anytime soon. goodluck getting any name that is original if you dont already have one. unless they are going to allow duplicates. in which case there will be 35million zezimas. although i do kinda wish i could transfer the name of a char i used to save it for mechscape. it is "ch_evremonde" kudos to whoever gets the reference first, it is quite easy. Original names are simple. Some example: Cook Gloves Soul Summons Shield Alot over 9k def (Not as original) Fold it up Her Mauler Her Entangle Steel pura [still not original] Not Spamming ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ They're only some of my account names.. Oh. Lets quest, Lets eat in, And um.. Gaia--magic and str, neither as original because of the double space, but i put them in on purpose anyway ^^ -edit- What I want to be able to do is swap an account name you have with another account you own. I have the accounts Final Smash and Probopass, and I would love to have either of those with my stats rather than Armyman19 :roll: Well, quite simple, if its a matter of people who dont have accounts taken, Then open multiple windows assuming it's off game, or be fast, change the name of your seccond account, then your main, and if desired, your seccond account TO your main. I've spent too much time logged in as it, just wouldn't feel right. :lol: The nickname/friend tracker thing sounds good so long as they think up a way to know exactly which friend is which once they've thought up a nickname.
