DrS3
No.. a jagex mod himself this is a good idea and he'll do it on his choob. no one will get banned from this. proof: (at end of vid) That video regards getting mummy champion scrolls, the bug in question only happened a couple days ago when they changed the combat levels on a few creatures. Lethe_Keres, And can you explain to me why this *isn't* a bug? That's exactly why I said Jagex wouldn't do any form of punishment because they haven't banned or muted or do anything to anybody even for serious glitches like you mentioned. I'm not saying anybody *should* be banned, that was simply stating Jagex hasn't banned pretty much anybody for any glitch. This is exactly like the agility wall jump glitch, everybody argued stating that it wasn't a glitch/bug but Jagex then said they did. There is no way this could be intentional, it makes no absolute sense to have level 138s have 10 LP. End of. Going for max total. :)
JeRambo
getting champ scroll or effigy..what's the difference? they were 10 hp with high combat before.. I don't see your point. You want people to get punished for this? There's almost 4 people in each world.. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones.
asfcjfdyitfhglh
I agree with Jeremy. Before, they were still 10 hp. Now they're still 10 hp. Champ scroll is no harder or easier to get now. As for the update resulting in hundreds of thousands of xp an hour for hardly putting any effort, is this really any different from when they introduced effigies? If you wanna have something changed, start with effigies.
Triquos
This is exactly like the agility wall jump glitch, everybody argued stating that it wasn't a glitch/bug but Jagex then said they did. There is no way this could be intentional, it makes no absolute sense to have level 138s have 10 LP. End of. Not quite. I feel there is a big difference between a glitchy agility wall that gave 10-20k more xp per hour compared to the best agility course out there, and this bug where players could potentially rake in MILLIONS of extra xp. Yes the agility wall was a bug, but should 10-20k extra xp be a bannable offence? I don't believe so. Perhaps a warning to never do it again (or else be banned) or be given 1 blackmack perhaps. This, however, takes the cake for an extremely unfair advantage over other players. Millions of extra xp, to me atleast, is unfair.
Aslan
Yes, because players changed the combat level to 138. Kill them yourself or shut up. Geeze, just because people can shave off a few hours from the champion challenge you're out for blood.
Triquos
I don't understand why people are encouraging others to abuse this bug. Is this Tip.it?
brunokiller
How is this unfair? No one is stopping you from doing the same. Although I agree it could use a nerf. My blog
Vex
lol, it's like 10k magic xp an hour, up to 50 or 60k with fire surge. Dat millions of extra xp. It's still inferior to crawlers, ganos, glacors, mithril dragons for effigy collecting. The only thing that makes it bad is that it requires zero effort and costs comparatively nothing. Same difference as doing Ivy over Teaks/Arctic Pines.1 Method requires zero effort and is slower, the other is faster but requires more effort. http://www.[Caution! Quyneax
I don't think it's bug abuse, but it is definitely an oversight on Jagex' part. Since this doesn't have any requirements (ok, Desert Treasure) I don't think it's a big deal. If the effigy rate on something exclusive like ganodermics got doubled, sure, that's a bit unfair. But these mummies are only afk, and still less efficient than glacors/tds (and those that Vex mentioned). Triquos
How is this unfair? I believe 1 hitting level 138 monsters is unfair. Players could rake in 10's, even 100's of effigies within hours / days of abusing this. You are right, no one is stopping me from doing the same. But unlike others, I do the right thing. I have reported the bug. You can thank (or hate) me all later. <3:
Vex
Have you read anything or are you just going to be ignorant? 10's or 100's of effigies in hours or days? It's still slower than 4 or 5 other methods out there, I don't see you jumping up and down about that. http://www.[Caution! Triquos
Regardless of how serious it is, the fact is it's a bug. Players shouldn't abuse it. Tip.it'ers shouldn't encourage it. End of story. I am now going to start adding players to my ignore list who continue to flame me for not supporting or encouraging this bug. If that is being ignorant, so be it. Moving on... this should be about 200M skills anywho, how did we get onto this topic?

Fallstar
Well effigies are a massive part of 200m all skills. Also this is quite clearly not a bug, the mummies were high combat level before with 10hp. Now they're a slightly higher combat level with 10hp. Where's the bug??? But calling it a bug leads to calling people bug-abusers (which is not, and which they aren't) and people get offended/annoyed because of this kind of stupidity. Well that's sort of because Jagex has railed against their player base a time or two saying that if we know there are activities that are obviously not supposed to work that way, that we shouldn't use them and instead report them. Etc etc. So if they want to take the moral highground, they'll finger wag at the people who use this feature until it's patched saying, "YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT BLAH BLAH RULES BLAH BLAH JAGEX BLAH BLAH REPORTED"
what_that_do_
I have 94 effys banked from the mummies. 14 after update, 80 before update.update changed their level from 96 to 138, however i don't see any difference in the effigy drop rate.the first 80 effys took me on average 1588 casts per effigy (~3h). The 14 i got after update took 1646 casts per effigy (same 3h).might be just bad luck ofcourse.
Pinata
Eh, maybe not be a bug but I can see it as this category "Exploits and Loopholes". Which imo ovls/pray renewals @ dung would fall under it. However I don't think they're ban worthy but just saying they can fall under some type of game abuse. Simply, I don't want Jagex to patch this as I would use it for the champion scroll. So hopefully they'll just remove effigies from those mummies.
