August 3, 201015 yr learn2AOG :)real time strategy is one thing, but it's a lot harder to mess up turn based strategy. It is player vs player only if BTS is correct, that could mess things up big time. I hope there is a single player version too, I'm kinda slow at turn based strategy games. EDIT: I'm one of the fans of AOG too, bought Funorb membership especially for this minigame when 2nd campaign was released. (Guthix campaign now too! Got to buy members again... :))
August 3, 201015 yr Hahahaha. No treasure trail update but another BTS! I love it. They're aiming at releasing the update tomorrow.I figured, but I thought it was comical considering how heated the "No Update This Week" thread got. "He could climb to it, if he climbed alone, and once there he could suck on the pap of life, gulp down the incomparable milk of wonder."
August 3, 201015 yr Would it be safe to assume that tt items will decrease in price after this? Should I wait to buy a tt item?
August 3, 201015 yr I don't completely understand why people are soo excited about more floors. Pros:more expnew themesnew bosseshigher scaled monsters? will be more fun? Cons:more floors will make finding a party orders of magnitude more annoying than it already ismore floors will have relatively bad exp that will need to be prestige rushed though for still bad expnew annoying and gimmicky bossesdungeons already don't have enough food for currently scaled monsters Overall; meh.
August 3, 201015 yr at above post adding more floors will make it harder to find a specific floor but if you open your possibilities to a wider range of floors, ull be able to find a team even easier and still get mroe xp than before, even if u do an f30 at 47 prestige ull still get loads more xp than before. either that or join dg elites your "more floors will have bad xp which will need xp rushed" yes this is true but ull be getting about 10k xp per small dung and i have no problem with that, 35 rushes at 10k a piece is a lot better than 25 rushes at 4-5k a piece bosses are annoying enough, but the new one they showed just looks like a staight up fight, i dont see him being loaded down with special abilitys, maybe 1 or 2 i have plenty of food every dung, and they never necessarily said that the new boss/monsters are higher lvl, but i do hope they are higher lvl im personaly tired of easy lvl 400 bosses, every time my teams find a boss i solo it and the other 4 finish the dung, with the exception of a few bosses which can be duoed.....point is bosses seem wayyyy to easy and i think 600+ bosses would be nice to see worst case secnario, take 40 seconds out of ur time to fish 10-15 cave morays
August 3, 201015 yr Hm... it seems that my tokens are going to be going into getting a chaotic rapier (or longsword), and this Rigour prayer... would like that for range slaying :P New floors will be interesting. Looking forward to the new bosses and challenge rooms, for sure. I love questing, so any quest is a good thing for me. Void Knights quest, even better, since I'm quite intrigued with their storyline. This turn based Pest Control... minigame/activity/whatever thing looks interesting. Wonder if it'll remind me of the few times I played Fire Emblem... something to try, at the very least. Treasure trails update I was looking forward to already, but I wasn't bothered by it not being released on time, since I had plenty of other stuff to focus on. When it does get released, though, it'll be interesting to see how many creatures are going to be crowded with people looking for clue scrolls of all levels :P (I'm assuming some of the rewards are obtained from levels 1, 2, and 3 as well as the elite clues) Bank space, of course, is always good. Even moreso if you happen to be a damn pack rat and keep everything, like me >.<
August 3, 201015 yr 12 new occult floors basically means that, strategies for old bosses like Ballak, stomp, etc will be obsolete outside of rushes, and players under 93 dungeoneering. But it means we need to figure out strats for 6 new bosses.
August 3, 201015 yr So far, looks like a good month of updates. The part that I'm most happy about is the giant disclaimer, for obvious reasons. :) Can't wait to get into Batch 2 with Dungeoneering (not sure why so many refer to it as 1.75 ). Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
August 3, 201015 yr [hide]So... We had Dung Batch 1. Were promised Batch 2... Instead we'vegot Batch 1.5/1.75.... Good work there. I'd rather they split the updates up then waiting until they're all ready and releasing them at once.how many people actually plan to get much farther than level 93 anyways? I just think releasing the skill in so many parts is stunted.. People are already training over lvl 99! The skill was released and the max floor lvl was at 69... Fail much? People reached that in no time at all. And now we're getting up to 93.. Which would be ok for a "skill" if we didn't know this one went up to 120![/hide] And if they didn't release skill until all was done, you would be ranting about no new skill, they released a lot of things in batch 1,people are training it,200-300 people are no-lifing it,but vast majority or RS is in 60-70 dung, even less,I'm 62 dung and my rank is 36k,so this update will benefit everyone a lot. Just because 800 people trained it to 94 and are "out of update domain" doesn't mean that it's a bad update. Considering I don't hold Jagex to ANY of their release schedules, then no I wouldn't be annoyed about "NO SKILL@@@", besides you can hardly call dungeoneering a skill. Perhaps the reason people haven't train it more is because it stops at 69? I for one don't have too much time to play rs, and if i'm leveling anything I try and do it as efficient as possible. I've got Dungeoneering to 70 so far for the arcane stream and left it there until more floors came out. I just don't understand what is so hard about putting out content that is polished and 'complete'. Instead of a shoddy "Batch 1" where multiple alterations were made. THEN releasing the rest of this minigame in dribs and drabs.
August 3, 201015 yr ^ That's because you don't understand game design at all ( or general software programming at that ). With your logic no program or game would ever require a patch or update. Lol @ 12 year olds... -------------------------------------------------------------------

How many other, older skills do we have that don't have stuff at the top end? Overall, looks like a decent month. Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. August 3, 201015 yr I am so ready to go do some level 1 and 3 clue scrolls when the clue scroll update hits... [hide][/hide] Good god, 84 slots devoted to Treasure Trails. Makes me glad I quit doing level 3s. Hopefully elite TTs aren't heavy on weird emote clue gear. I'm really hoping Jagex doesn't require an obscure piece of gear, rendering it unbuyable for several weeks. 2496 Completionist

How do you know if a clue is on its last step? You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.
August 3, 201015 yr Can't wait to get into Batch 2 with Dungeoneering (not sure why so many refer to it as 1.75 ).The warped floors (48-60) aren't being released with this update; therefore this is considered 1.75 assuming the dungeoneering batch update following this one contains the new floors. *-P.K.M-* Website

August 3, 201015 yr Author I am so ready to go do some level 1 and 3 clue scrolls when the clue scroll update hits... I've got a Level 3 in the bank at the last step - search crates in Lumby windmill. How do you know if a clue is on its last step? Clues have a maximum of 7 steps, I kept mine at 6 to be safe level 3 for me usually end at 5-7 ;) I've done around 300 clues slaying which doesn't sound like much but it is concidering 85-99 I did a clue every task I had one and now I'm approaching 20M slay xp :P

August 3, 201015 yr I never bother keeping the uri juunk in my bank unless its a really obscure one I have some difficultly in aquiring. Sure it slows me down a smidge but most of the items can be got from a shop if you know where to look, fair few of the others are easily got on the ge and the last few I can make. August 3, 201015 yr I'm really not thrilled about all of these silly Dungeoneering updates. But I'm glad they haven't entirely lost focus on the rest of us players who don't care about Dungeoneering -- the new quest sounds cool, and I don't even like doing quests. :)

I hope with this update the number of steps in a clue actually means something unlike at the moment. It was nice when each part of the clue gave you a reward. So you'd get 4-6 items from a level 3 clue when it was 4-6 parts long. Then I believe it was the emote clue update that completely broke that.
August 3, 201015 yr looks epic, time to get 120 dungeoneering  24th to 2496 Overall ~ 29th to 120 Dungeoneering ~ Wilderness Guardian since November 2007 ~
