has anyone tried Zgs specs on it yet? maybe get like a team with 5 zgs's and spec restores and just keep speccing and ranging from a distance?

Ah, I would like to see proof of it. If true, yet another reason this armour will have no effect on the majority. The repair price however sounds very reasonable.

The reavers cast blood magics that can and do hit through prayer, I was wearing Arma with Elysian and CH. Rapier. Without prayer they can hit upwards of 150's, with prayer they seem to stay under 50's with the blood magics.

The Ancient mages in the area were the only ones down there that were agressive to me, my set up included a Verac's Helm, Arma Chest and Legs.

Whose idea was to make the new armor so rare and expensive. This doesn't fix the combat system. This just makes the rich and extremely lucky even more powerful than they already were.

 

And the new Bow is pointless. Jagex advertised it like it was this amazing bow that requires absolutely NO ammo! However you have to recharge it, which is the equivalent to using ammo. So it is basically an extremely expensive Bow that requires extremely expensive "Invisible" ammo.

The only advantage with the bow is you could go to BH +1 worlds with just a bow and not lose anything lol.

This. Players with Divines were nigh-impossible to kill already, but you combine a Divine and Torva and they'll quite literally be impossible to KO.

in time nex will be like this. i wonder what the efects of nex being made easy not hard.

for a start, that life point boosting armour would mean future bosses would have to be even stronger :shock:

 

but going away from speculation and to today, where could life post boosting armour be usefull?

maybe jad, he would have a problem 1 hitting people with (efectively) level 139 con :P

brews heal you for a % of your hp, i wonder if lp boosting would efect that.

Is the point of highest level armor always to fix the combat triangle? Judging by the fact that most armor worn previously wasn't the best available(really, how many people use divines?), thus we can safely say elite armor isn't added to fix the combat triangle, it's to give the best of the best something to crave for, too. With the last elite armor coming along with corporal beast(chaotics aren't elite, really), it's long overdue, anyway. And with the possibility of untradeable armor, it should keep the complaints at a low level with how much you have to sacrifice for the armor, and even if you can't wear it, corrupt statius is very nearly as good, with much lower price/requirements.

 

As for the bow, if it is 1m for whatever 10 hours, it would be the best single combat ranged training weapon available.

Oh yeah, i forgot that nobody uses crossbows for ranged training <_<

 

It might even be the best ranged weapon for frost dragons, but it all depends on how the price pans out.

Well, as extra lp only adds to the unkillability and someone with divine/protection prayers/yak already is unkillable(within a 5 minute timeframe, atleast) it doesn't change much in that perspective(torva is actually quite a bit worse for offensive power). And well, to pay more than a bil to be unkillable(not to mention over 500m risk) sounds fair to me. It's not as though we'll all be seeing these new armors everywhere in the wildy, so the bonus in pvp situations that don't matter is very much fair game.

Well, I've been looking for a reason to quit this game, but I always enjoyed it too much. I now have my reason.... Was getting killcount so I could go check out Nex, doin fine and just killing the ancient mages (they drop noted grimy torstols btw, I got 4 of them in 34 killcount) when suddenly "Connection Lost". Damnit.... Spam to log back in, keep getting "You're account has not logged out from its last session" or whatever that message is. Finally get back into the game and I'm sitting in Falador, no claws, no rapier..... Oh, and no key to get myself back in there. (It took me over an hour earlier to get the damn thing in the first place). I absolutely despise dungeoneering, so I won't be getting that rapier back ever. In fact, I'm completely done with this game for good now. It was a good time while it lasted. Good bye to all my friends on here. I'm going to go smoke a bowl and chill out, try to forget that I spent 3 weeks of my life getting that rapier only to lose it to a faulty connection.
