Trollface
I'm considering buying membership on my account as school is out and I have loads of free time for the next few months. However, I want to know that DGS would be willing to regularly take my on teams before I waste £5 on membership, because the only reason I want members is to do P2P dungeoneering. :) Dungeoneering: 79 (all F2P)Combat: 73Attack: 45Strength: 75Defence: 45Hitpoints: 71Ranged: 74Prayer: 45Magic: 70 I'm most likely going to bind a maul with the 70 strength requirement, as I don't wish to gain attack/defence levels. Other binds (2nd weapon/ammo) I will leave to you experienced dungeoneer'ers to decide. Obviously a SSH as soon as I come across it, and perhaps laws as my RC level is only 51. I've been playing for 5 years altogether, 4+ years on my main account so I have a good understanding of RuneScape in general (if that helps). Positive attitude and willingness to learn are both my strong points, and the idea of rushing dungeons is far more interesting to me than to play slowly. I'm not bothered about dying often as I wouldn't want to be hiding outside of rooms and being afraid to die which would slow down the team. I ALWAYS put the teams best interests before mine. Question: Can someone with my stats get into DGS teams often? Or shall I just not bother buying membership? EDIT: Should mention I want to dungeoneer because I love the skill, not for rewards or any other reason. I'd recommend getting 77 rc and high magic/strength asap. You'll probably have to mage zombies and such because of your low attack, meaning you'll have to craft blood runes.

Bagman
What are some generally needed levels to DG well? I am trying to think of things to raise, and I figured this might help me (narrowing down some skills to work on). Any help would be awesome. I am going to assume higher attk, str, def would be useful, but yeah, number ranges would be great for those and other skills I need to DG well and be useful to a team! z0diark
2)Is skype absolutely essential? I see most dg parties use skype and normally everyone can use it and its favorable, but I can't use it as my parents think any voices from the internet is a killer and I hate to be a hassle so will this impair me greatly from joining teams? Thanks! Headphones. Problem solved ;)

Dragonlordjl
I've read too many horror stories about n00bs sniping Hex drops (and to a lesser degree, Blood Necks) from people who "earned" them. To fix this, you shouldn't be able to see drops from slayer monsters unless you have the required level to kill them when the item drops (potted levels still count). However, you can still use slayer items (provided you have the necessary combat levels to wield them, of course) if someone who got the drop trades it to you. Everybody wins. It's really basically about people being organized and disciplined about dungeoneering, and if they do snipe something, they'll have some real problems trying to use dgs ever again. The fact is, when you are in a floor, you can command people who don't have 99 slayer to gtfo that room, and if they don't, they would be kicked off the team and have future implications in participating in dgs dungeons, just for not leaving the soulgazer room. JPMC Mate
I'm sure you can get in Fekambard, and it is ok if you're str is that much higher than atk to use Maul. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
xpx
I'm sure you can get in Fekambard, and it is ok if you're str is that much higher than atk to use Maul. The point about it is that it's ok, but that doesn't make it good, still, so it's essential for a person like that to learn proper gd prioritization and mage as frequently as possible(zombies, for example, should be maged with surge) and that also means high apm regarding switches. It's possible, but if you are to have any chance to carry your own weight, you'll have to work much harder for it. With 71 hp, your effectiveness will forever be compared to katagon 2h, which is a largely superior weapon to either katagon or gorg maul(as crush is a secondary attack style compared to slash). And that's an overstatement.Better that than to come up with wildywyrms and hati wolves.

green9090
Someone's mad about the idea of not being able to snipe drops >_> It's not a complex update. You can't claim it would waste development time more than trash updates like lava flow mine and livid farm and wildywyrms. It's just a simple patch, not a project. It's just a simple patch, not a project. You are here assuming that you are god and know all what is right or wrong, which is not an uncommon practice. An update doesn't only take the coding part, but also the part of development of ideas, and we do not know about how jagex feels about the subject- if the current system is purposefully there then it would be a large project indeed. Overall, it's just not worth the hassle(mostly of explaining and lobbying for an update without major implications). First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. green9090
The system where low level slayers can steal drops from high level slayers? Seems like it makes sense to fix it in the same way that I can't walk over to ice strykes and snipe people's staff of light drops without damaging the monster. The actual coding part would be quick, and it's hard to make an argument that it wouldn't make the game more fair. Because macroers make up a significant portion of their membership base, that's why. They aren't the majority, but there are enough of them that a serious crackdown would definitely impact Jagex's bottom line. And yes, as people have already said, this would be an easy project for them to do.

Seems like it makes sense to fix it in the same way that I can't walk over to ice strykes and snipe people's staff of light drops without damaging the monster. Your example is completely out of context as we are not asking for all drops to be only visible, atleast at first, to the person who did the most damage. The fact of the matter is, the drop systems in mainland rs and daemonheim are different, and both systems work uniformly. Should slayer drops only be seen by people who have the levels? probably, but given that there would be questions weather people who have the levels and do no damage should be able to get the drops and the fact that there are only 2 significant drops, it's really not a major issue. When dgs had the one issue with this problem, the person with 99 slayer was atleast half to blame for it(for not telling people to get out of the room). Right now, soulgazers are a good test of loyalty for people who use dgs- if they don't have the level and try to camp drops, they clearly do not belong. First to 99 Farming on 27.
