D. V. Devnull
@ ^ -- Cool. :) @ All -- As for the overall state of this update, I would say it is the one pretty much perfect update of this month. Server Pings have returned, the RuneSpan is causing less crashes, and that HP Boost from Bonfires is rather impressive, right along with the exp boosts! I'm not going to get mad at Jagex failing to provide a model for actual bonfires, simply because of all this positivity. No reason to look a good gift horse in the mouth, ya know what I mean? And anyway, I figure Jagex might eventually try to carry out this one missed aspect, so there's nothing to worry over! ~Mr. D. V. "Finally, the one update I can't get mad at this year..." Washac
I now have THE REAL as my name title. If I no longer require this, how do I remove it ? Pay a visit to Xuan in Varrock or Burthope, he has a right-click "remove title" option. Of coarse, I'll get me coat.......
Sy_Accursed
Yeah, I'm not sure why everyone is so concerned about the aesthetics of the update. rather than the functionality. Because its nice when things look good too, besides it says a lot about the update that for the most part people's only negative comment is that they didn't give us a graphical representation of the bonfire that differs from the fire. It's not so much people are concerned about it, more it's the one thing they can find to say 'y'know it woulda been better if...' about. UserOnRS
You add a log every 6 ticks, but if you manually add a new log after each xp drop, you can add one every 5Wouldn't doing that defeat the ENTIRE purpose of this update?People are always going to look for ways to max out their xp/hr. I probably won't do it, but it doesn't make it wrong.Just seen this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNKlaKiPxQ8 Wonder how that method compares to manually adding logs to the bonfire and other fast firemaking methods (Pyrelord, Curly Roots etc.). D. V. Devnull
Just an awkward question for all of you... If you decide to clear the title given by the cape for any reason, but then want it back later and you're F2P, can you get it back? I would hate, being the 100% Pure F2P that I am, to clear a nice title like this and find that I can't get it back! :ohnoes: ~Mr. D. V. "Sitting on a pile of worry..." DevnullGot some info from a friend. Apparently you can regain the title if you clear it, even if you are F2P! So, +1 more to Jagex in the "What's Awesome" category! ~Mr. D. V. 999134
does the type of log you use effect how many fire spirits you get? Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod![hide=old sig][/hide]

In all honestly though I like that there is an option to be more hands on and get faster xp/hr.
ForsakenMage
:| Had the fire spirits come to me three times in a span of about a minute and a half yesterday. That was quite amusing, but naturally I don't expect it to be a set rate, just random. :P Bye bye are the days of firemaking lines. Tip It
The one thing I have to say about it is that xp using Brawlers is Amazing and absurdly too high. Brawlers in wild with NO additional firemakers:Yew Log - 1,040xp eachMagic Log - 1,226.5 xp each Brawlers in wild WITH additional firemakersMagic Log (12.5 xp per person)(1) - 1,239(2) - 1,251.5(3) - 1,264(4) - 1,276.5 I timed it, and at 7:11 pm I hit level 82. It is 252,027xp from 82-83At 7:33 pm, I hit 83. Note that I was using only Yew logs during this time At that rate, brawlers can get you 680,473xp / hour using Yews. It can go as high as 802,500 using Magic logs. Lucky enough for me, the brawlers I had were barely used, so I had well over an hour of use. I ended up with 1.1m fm xp in under 3 hours. Not bad :) Tip It's Stats: Slayer for Airuts, Mining for Rune, and Prayer for all 70+ skills

Sorator
Decent update, except for the fact they didn't add bonfires. Heh. I like it; makes it easier for folks like me who cannot grind no matter how hard they try. Obtained quest cape and base 92 before obtaining any 99s! Currently finishing out my 99s with the (long-distant) goal of comp cape.

spooferfish
Is there a specific place/world that's popped up to bonfire with the most people for max experience? When I made a fire at the GE to test out a bonfire I was told to run North for bonfires. I ran north, there were three or more people making fires as close to the bankers as they could then yelling everyone on one fire, for more xp. Other than that I haven't heard anything. Bauke
Well you can like it or not, but afk is the way this game is headed. People don't like grinding, so Jagex is removing that from the game. Combat might be an exception, because (if done right) it can be exciting. But there is nothing exciting about firemaking. Bonfires have made it less dull. For me, bonfires and runespan have added two more 200m skills I may be getting without paying attention to the game. I like it.
