Lost over 500 jade due critical failure in one bowl mission, for ship repair - 3 chi globes mission failed 15 hours wasted. Thats not funny anymore. Missions take forever and give less ressources along with higher cost of every upgrade and lower boosts given by them.

I feel for you. I'm getting a bit frustrated too. 1 in 3 missions tends to fail. I'm happy if I can reach 80 to 90% missions, but some go into the 60-70% area. A few days ago, I had two 600 jade missions, failed them both and lost resources in the process . And the black marketeer keeps presenting me with bamboo and chimes. I wonder how tough the last area is going to be...

Well finally I have managed to recruit to my first sea witch - directly follower by number 2. At least I have 2 but it took really absurdly long for one to pop by - at least 250 crew members rolled before the first one appeared.

I succeeded sea witch mission second day in Scythe and now I'm 20% into bowl have only seen 1 sea witch, passed judge of dice mission 3 days ago and seen 3 of them lol.

If anyone is going for trade goods get as many as you can while in scythe, because in bowl trade good missions take twice as long but only give 50% more trade goods (3 instead of 2), as well as having much higher requirements, I don't understand why they don't give 4 that would make a lot more sense.

Yeah only limiter with trade goods is you need high enough tier merchant unit & high enough pay out in the first place for the percentage to be 1+

on the other hand, you get the jade merchant, who can boost certain double trade good missions better than the older ones, since the extra 5% pushes the rounding over the threshold

How so?

I just noticed that fortune of the sea and the lotus-tint spectacles got deactivated on one of my boats. I had them on all three, so I'm sure I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure when they ran out though, I thought they were permanent, so I stopped paying attention to them. My other two ships are still out, so can't check if they're gone on them too. Bummer.

Yeah, it was in today's patch notes. They're now a 1-voyage deal.

I am also quite sure the only reason they didn't do that for Lifeboats too is all the nerdrage that'd come out of HLF if they did.

Oh man, I totally missed that. Thanks for the info. Should not have immediately activated them again then. Oh well, live and learn :).

How so?

3 plate * .25 merchant modifier = 3.75 rounds down to 3.

3 plate * .35 merchant modifier = 4.05 rounds down to 4.

I think Fortune of the Sea and Lotus-Tinted Spectacles should provide a set amount of goods/xp. FoS could be something like: 200 extra chimes, 100 extra regular goods and 1 extra trade good. Spectacles could be +50% xp for 2000 distance or similar.

Ah, but Jade Merchant is 30%, not 35%.

Hence, 3*1.3 = 3.9 -> 3

That's a good idea to suggest. Randoms are just too rare to waste on 1 shot deals. If these can be made to last for 1 week (even the item boosting ones) then most people will use them especially when we're in the Bowl and Pincers where re-rolling voyages is a non-issue. The life boat can work till it saves a crew member (makes golems valuable again).

I wouldn't mind a week of +10% combat on one of my ships, definitely worth a random selection.

You already have 5.

I don't understand what you mean. What 5 things count as captains? if that's what you mean.

You already 5 captains. You can't have more than 5 captains.
