  1. I wouldn't put it past em to "correct" the market... Welcome to the U.S.S.R.S. Everybody!
  2. That's a good idea... and you could also get a new crest for your POH while you have the halo?
  3. Ya... Other MMORPGS *coughWOWcough* implement actual clans...
  4. On another thread I put that I believe summoning would come out never. But I'm going to change that. Never is to soon; it's coming out the twelfth of never.
  5. I'd get rid of ents, giant fish, whirlpools, and smoking rocks. But the rest can stay... except the sandwhich lady.Jagex should let us attack the sandwich lady :twisted:Sandwhichs Raven- ARRGHH!

  7. Haha I'd like to see a task where you have to kill DK after drinking three kegs of Fremennik beer. Awesome. That would be so very awesome. But I would like to see one for oh, I dunno, Morytania? Shades of Mor'ton could use some new tourists...
  8. Ya. I never gave away much, but the second topic won my heart. The only time I gave away anything valuable was when I went on a six month hiatus from members. I gave a level 56 walking past seers like 200k and gave someone buying a d long his request for free... I also got rid of my whole inventory of some 18k+ pure rune ess... kicked myself for that when I rejoined, Bwhahaha! The first one was also good. I never participated in clans, but now I wish I had... Ah well, Good Stuff all! P.S. The Did You Know? was actually something I did not know! Awesome!
  9. I was thinking the rocks in the mine that the Vyrewatch teleports you to...
  10. So why were the updates sold to us as "exciting" and "fun"? Look at the description of the Revenants in the BTS December... Did they deliver? Consider, also, that Jagex said NOTHING about the changes that would affect the Wilderness... If these were only a solution to RWT, then why didn't they come out and say it? Because they knew the edge "pkers" would throw a fit, why start the whine fest 2 weeks before they need to? Why lie and/or distort the truth to loyal long term fans and veterans?[/hide] Sorry, but what were they supposed to say? I'll compare what they wrote, to what they were thinking at the time, and you tell me what would have a better reaction. Hmm, which one would you pick so far? How would you like the BTS for December now? Fun, huh? Nice, right? I bet that would make everybody happy. 'Nuff said. Bwhahahaha! I LOVE it because it is true! Such Joy I feel!
  11. And these are just the MEMBERS of Runescape? How low can you go(with IQ)?
  12. Some people like to make others suffer for their own amusement. It's called sadism. Go to your local DMV to learn more!

  14. What, you mean out by the greater demons in the wilderness? The lurer could also sit back and watch the poor guy repeatedly try to reclaim his stuff only to be killed again and again... That guy would have to be pretty stupid  Or pretty new.

  16. So thanks to the December 10th update, we no longer have macroers or RWT as well as lurers. Huzzah and yea verily! But, oh joy, the January 2nd update has cleared out the beggars and scammers. But has it? The scammers, beggars, lurers and various riff-raff I mean; not the RWTs. Are they really gone? Some beggars may have stopped trying to weasel free stuff off players, but others probably will continue. To some of them 3K per 15 minutes is worth every second of the begging. But have you heard of the lending feature Jagex may implement? Now we may soon here the cries of "b0r0w ur rune pl0x!!!" And those cries will sound all the more reasonable because your lending the item, not giving it. And why would scammers or lurers quit? Many of them probably didn't do it for the money; that was just used to keep score. They probably did it for the thrill of outwitting others. I mean, how many higher level players fall for most scams? Lurers may no longer profit from others deaths, but they will still experience the joy of watching younger players die. They may very well continue to lure lower levels into deep wildy to have them killed by revenants or greater demons. So, in conclusion, though we may not lose as much to the scum of Runescape, maybe we still should stay on guard. A deal that sounds to good to be true may still be a trap.

  18. Not really, no. This thread is on its fourth page and I *still* don't get what its point is. If you're just trying to say that some RWT is still going on, or that Jagex could have done a better job, I doubt anyone will disagree. But MOST of it is gone, and more importantly, the type that involves gold farmers using stolen credit cards to pay for is gone. And that was Jagex's goal. Exatly. And who's to say they are done? Jagex didnt say, oh so we've made these updates so were gunna stop fighting against RWT now. Im sure they are still working on other transitions and solutions, but as you know it takes a long time to code content into the game. They cant just come up with giant ideas and recode them overnight, it simply dosent work like that. Would you rather have them make small solutions slowly killing out RWT, or wait Three Years from now to add contect that solves everything? After reviewing this thread, I still see the only point your making (TheTrueNoob) is that RWT still exists. duh. Every step they take to remove RWT, If its 1 or 1000 of them, is a step in the right direction. We just had our first battle, but the war is still long from over. All your doing is simply arguing a concept that is already known. Oh, and about the whole loss of customers. What company in their right mind is going to tell you when/if they lost business. If a company says oh not many people are buying now, that makes customers uneasy about purchasing, so they lie and say that sales havent slowed to assure customers. Bascially.. its a lie. If you think that Jagex is sacraficing content you cant live without, and you dont enjoy the game anymore because all you can do is complain about how they could have done better, dont play. How many Runescapers does it take to change a lightbulb? 50,000. One to change the bulb, and 49,999 to complain about how the old bulb was better, and how they could have changed it better themselves. Of course... Considering Jagex announced that they had been working on these update for a year... You would think they would have been a little better, ya ken?
  19. A hypothetical question really. You certainly can't put in an order for 10 blue phats in one hit as you cannot physically hold that much cash, but the most expensive item (cracker) would have to tripple its value before the ceiling gp cap woul be met. jagex have plenty of time to deliberate on that eventuality me thinks. but what happens if summoning is a flop, no one likes, it and buys the p hats back for as much as they can and the price [bleep]es exponentially till it hits the max? just a theory no one has taht much money. it could happen though, but certainly not in a week. maby in a few years, when theres only 1 or 2 of them. but then there wouldnt be a market for them, it would really only be 1 or 2 people having one and maby another person trying to get enough money to get it. a market takes more than 2 people. Not possible. In order to keep the economy running, there are Jagex-employed users with an infinite amount of rares in their banks. Whenever there's notice of a number of rares disappearing, they're placed back on the market covertly to rebalance the economy. But I thought Jagex LOATHED the rares market with a fiery, burning, almost inhuman passion (or was that RWT...). Putting rares into the market would... how you say?... defeat their purposes. Nah, it's more likely Jagex is covertly purchasing rares through the GE to remove them once and for all.
  20. Erm? :? But I'm pretty sure pokemon wasn't the first game to use pets to fight and I do feel that the main diference will be animals attacking people, not animals attacking animals. On the other hand... [hide][/hide] And as for the picture, I'd choose that game. My point is that there's no such thing as a real mythical creature, some jackalope with wings is just as "real" as a charmander. Neither exist. Sure there is. Grendel is a real mythical creature, although he didn't exist. Pokemon are real fictional monsters, the wolpertinger is a derivative of a real mythical creature, a germanic version of the Jackalope, IE: The Wolpertinger is not just a Jagex attempt at a pokemon-esque ripoff, but has real roots in an already existing fictional creature. Aww shucks, the Jackalope DOES exist... Just ask Ronald Reagen... It's just like the Wild Haggis, the Australian Drop Bear, and the Kappa.
  21. Hmm.... I agree with that. P.S. Bulba SAUR!
  22. Yes, but you don't actually get to see the entire ride on the train. I can see this update, were it implemented, being a try it and drop it, one of those things where people try it once, say "nice concept, but too inconvenient", then stop using it creating a barren wasteland wherever the update was. Trains, if made somewhat similar to real life, would be too resource consuming to make them a useful form of transportation, as opposed to say teleportation which works fine. I'm sure that the high demand for food in F2P would keep people using the trains, especially from Port Sarim to Draynor. And the skillers don't want to raise their magic to teleport. Some non-magic pures may also like this update because the track runs from Lumbridge to Edgeville, giving them a quick and cheap ticket to the Wilderness. Or you could have a special underwater track going from Karamja to, say, Falador... Edit: I support Whole heartedly! Now all runescape needs is its own version of Jurrasic Park!
  23. It COULD mean they were lying about how long this has been in the works... Or about how much effort went into the updates...
  24. hmmmm mabey a new tree could be related to sommoning :-k imagine a new tree that drops a certain type of birds egg  .... You lot are beyond help. Every post contains somthing about summoning. omg a cleaner, must be summoning related omg no more PK and B sucks [wagon], must be summoning related  Hmm... Maybe we could summon a creature in BH, specifically FOR Bounty Hunter?
  25. Unfair how? What exactly do you contribute to Jagex to justify you getting summoning? Pay up or stop whining. Hmm... Jagex just destroyed everything that was good in F2P...
