Like everyone said, you don't need all those posts. You could fit your guide ~10 times in a single post, and it just makes it inconvenient to browse the way it is now. For the equip section, it's worth mentioning void for those who have it. Also, your asterisks are extremely disorientating, you have to slowly count up each set of stars and trace it down to the bottom to find your comments on that item. Try using a different symbol instead of multiple symbols. I'm pretty sure this got disproved, addy bars aren't considered a rare drop. RoW only improves the rarity of your rare items. I couldn't see anything on summoning either? At least mention them, bunyips make life so much easier there. Even though you might have bones to peaches, it takes AGES to cast the spell, eat each peach, pick up a new bone. A bunyip cuts this down, alot. If you feel like overkilling it, a unicorn will let you throw bones to peaches away entirely.

Just bring range gear, it isn't hard. Look up a fight-cave guide and bring a toned down version of the inventory (you won't need sara brews, prayer pots instead of super restores, etc...). Getting champion can be annoying, either go on an official fight pits world and try to win a game, or get a good friend and an empty world.

What changes would you make to any skillcape?
Lets_3ekout replied to eoghan62's topic in Questionnaires
I'd add additional, relevant, boosts as well. Some ideas: Quest cape - A series of useful teleports to various quest locations such as piscatoris(sp?). Attack - For 15 seconds you cannot miss. Strength - For 15 seconds your max hit gets a 25% boost. Stacks. Defence - For 15 seconds you can't get hit by melee/range. Hitpoints - Cures poison, disease and a full heal. Range - For 15 sec, speed of attack doubles. Mage - For 2min, no runes are required. Things like that, useful fun stuff. Seems overpowered but with one activation per hour it is far from it. Some capes would have more of a passive ability, such as fires in firemaking could have same burn rates as lumbridge range and double burn time (since the uses of FM sucks, it really could use something big). -
Defence, does your level make much impact?
Lets_3ekout replied to joey11223's topic in General Discussion
This. I may be missing something but i dont see why this matters, Verac's special simply ignones armour and prayer so it would have the same effect on the person with 99 defence as the person with 84. True, but his experience is based on (from what we're told) one fight. Verac's special is randomly activated, so for all we know, the effect could have hit the level 99 defence player 15 times while hitting the topic creator 5 times. If you're going to try find a difference between defence levels, testing at Verac is a pretty bad place to start. -
Picking fights on the internet? Jeez wouldn't want to mess with you IRL  Runescape is full of idiots. If you can't mentally ignore people, the ignore list works a charm. As a general rule, it isn't worth arguing with an idiot, it just drops you to their level half the time.

It might not be a 99, but with a little work, and a bit more money (maybe 20m total cash? I can't remember how much it costs to level in the 70's), you might be able to get 88 summon for a unicorn. Much more useful than some silly cape.

Just because you got high EP doesn't mean you have to get huge drops, it just improves chances. In any case, this was not meant to be used as a money maker and Jagex has stated that gaining EP legititmate ways (not just afk'ing in hot zones) gives better rewards. Yep, you might have to PvP in a PvP world...

Question about While Guthix Sleeps experience reward
Lets_3ekout replied to Shepherdman7's topic in Help and Advice
You get it through talking with an npc in Falador castle, where you do much of the questing in WGS. It doesn't have to be cashed in straight after the quest, so you can save it for a new skill or something (you will have to wait ~1month after release to use it on new skill). Since you get it via a conversation, you obviously can't bank it. -
If you have to sell whip and aren't no lifeing 99 strength, then don't get it. It's pretty good, but there are good substitutes for those who aren't very serious about strength training (D Scimmy or obby sword)

Scan your computer. Change password. (In THAT order) Assign an e-mail to your account once you get it unlocked. Don't do anything stupid (download rs "cheats", tell your friends your pass, etc.). Not much more you can do.

11th June 2009 - Macro-detection systems update
Lets_3ekout replied to Mil's topic in General Discussion
The ability to program doesn't make someone a nerd. Infact the inability to do basic programs would you make you little short of an idiot (that isn't to say that if you never tried to program your an idiot, of course). In defence of bot-creators, making these sorts of things is extremely good practice at coding. Downloading someones program and running it (people often like to call themselves "hackers" when they run someone elses code, quite sad TBH) is quite another story. -
11th June 2009 - Macro-detection systems update
Lets_3ekout replied to Mil's topic in General Discussion
If Jagex can back up their talk, this is quite the update. Lucipher6 should serve as great of an example that could be. No one should get away with cheating, I really don't care if they macroed 10 hours out of a million. It's the principle and that is no one should macro, ever. I've had friends auto in their houses (locked w/ priv off) using randomised bot programs (randoms intervals between clicks, random click locations on icons, etc.) and they still got caught within a week. Can't imagine what more they did TBH, the detection system has always seemed very strong if you ask me. And that convo in the granite mine is hilarious  -
What was the true point of of the run update?
Lets_3ekout replied to cat666's topic in General Discussion
All the did was get rid of an unfair advantage really... I fail to see how it's an unfair advantage, i mean, members equipment in free worlds is obviously over the top, but for something that truly only effects a single player i don't see why it was removed It might not seem significant, but when you're on a pvp world, low food, top of wildy with 0 run energy it certainly helps. -
Game-engine Improvements by Andrew 11-Jun-2009

The fixed it all within the hour, what else do you want? I hope they bring back uninterrupted potting back though, I hate having to time everything while in combat. -
Tormented Demons - The Excellently Uber Guide!
Lets_3ekout replied to The_Great_One's topic in General Guides
Great guide  I'm considering going TD's after my next summon level (Pony). I'm a bit low on cash after buying 88 summon though (and after buying a vesta spear for waterfiends from boredom, lol), so is it worth saving up a long time for a BGS for this? Probably won't be killing a HUGE amount, but a reasonable amount. I'd be using a d hally instead. Also, how frequent is the charged up mage attack? Seems pretty annoying if it happens alot.. Thanks : -
Adding onto some above posts, it's 1hp/15secs. Exactly half of a bunyip. It doesn't let you eat raw food and doesn't last as long as a bunyip, so it isn't a very effective substitute. A great summon for it's level nevertheless.

Runecrafting looks a lot easier with some of the positions of musicians. I think Jagex really got it right with the positions of the musicians. Overall it will make getting around so much quicker, and make stuff like making planks much quicker. That and the amount of them, they seem to be everywhere I look. Although they aren't really worth the effort if you ask me, especially considering that super energy pots provide 50energy/dose and normal energy pots have become the same as the old super energy pots, at 20energy/dose. It's sorta made the explorer ring/TBird less useful, but both are still great at doing other things. -
Beautiful Skillcape Poll - Need screenshots of capes!

No one's voted for attack? It may be common, but trimmed attack looks hawt  Trimmed Attack & Untrimmed Slayer Mining is overated when it comes to visuals. -
What was the true point of of the run update?
Lets_3ekout replied to cat666's topic in General Discussion
Why not? Who doesn't it benefit? I see what you mean about it not being needed, but it really did fix agility in terms of the rewards you get for training to higher levels. I'm still interested to see how fast someone with 99 restores energy. Or perhaps we're about to see teleports removed entirely? Or not... -
9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
Lets_3ekout replied to Johannas's topic in General Discussion
I feel like training agility at 70 isn't a waste... Wow. If jagex increases the aggresivness of combat familiars (clicking the whistle each time is a bit of a pain) then that's just about every possible improvement I could of wanted in less than 7 months  -
Being called noob is prime use of the ignore list. You DONT want Jagex getting censor happy again. As for the word nazi being censored, talking about that whole subject can be deeply offensive to some people. You might not be able to understand why, but just be respectful about it.

Yep, what Joe said. Stranger plants are good at 69 but at 74 swap over to granite lobs. Kent's summon guide (in AoW) has a nice list of what summons to create at which level. As a heads up, swamp lizards are a pain in the [wagon] to buy right now, and will be over the next few days. 2lum CC merch clan plans out merching them from 1k-->10kea and dumping. If they follow through with it that could be a long time... Although that shouldn't matter if you're 69 now.
-
Why are you so intent on going with stranger plants? you should move onto granite lobs/swamp titans as soon as you can. 58mil doesn't sound right either, since level 1-99 is aprox ~75m (or so kent's guide says). I'm going for 88 right now aswell, and I counted that 82-88 should cost ~9m. Remember that trading pouches in saves enourmous amounts of money. I know what you mean about getting bored of fiends - dust devils, nechs and black demons are all nice breaks from the fiends grinding. Try scarabite cannoning if you can, be very carefull though, I almost died w/ 99 def last time I did it. As for going past 88 summoning, there's plenty of great summons - personally I plan on going to 89 since I've heard great things about geysers. Plenty of good stuff left if you have the money the continue.

Hardest skill to level (most tedious) - Poll -
Lets_3ekout replied to Atom Smash40's topic in Questionnaires
How does one click in slayer average 250xp? Including all the running, potting, eating, banking, etc. iit's probably around 20-30xp MAX. I'd say mining though.
