mpg321
How long does teleblock last anyways? 10 minutes i think. Blog to all 99's! Look here to find out how im doing it
Mordendravid
All this coming from someone who retired without amassing more than 800k xp in a single skill..... The point that people are making here is that runecrafting IS hard, using the abyss to runecraft is arguably the slowest skill in the game already and in order to "protect" the incurably stupid who failed to notice a massive great sign, Jagex have slowed it down even further. I quit because they are making things way to easy. Ooh you accuse my credibility because I don't have high stats, you don't think I've mass rune crafted with the abyss before? Gee, what a total bottomless accusation. Hmm, I don't recall questioning your credibility (much less accusing it, whatever that might mean) based upon your stats, all I am stating is that you have not spent sufficient time on any skill, let alone runecrafting, to understand what impact a seemingly small delay has on the total time taken. Whilst I didn't actually accuse you of not having mass runecrafted, the answer is no, I don't think you have. Your total rc xp is the equivalent of 10k nats through the abyss, that is quite simply not mass runecrafting. Your post only further proves my point. All I see are players saying stop making things easier for newbies, and when they make something harder for you, you rant about it. I've RC'd in the abyss, this update wouldn't have made a difference in the time I use. I'm not saying don't make the game harder for newbies (nor anyone else) I'm requesting that the game doesn't cater to the lowest common denominator of the witless. Skills should be hard to train, but this should be achieved without adding pointless time traps. I'm sure people would complain if they were forced to run a lap of Catherby after cooking each load of sharks (though cooking would still be quicker than RC if this was introduced). arguably the slowest skill in the game So your telling me Farming isn't slow? I believe Hohto answered this in a previous post In order to "protect" the incurably stupid who failed to notice a massive great sign, Jagex have slowed it down even further. If the sign was so massive, they would have seen it. They did it to stop the teleport bug. Where you can be dragged into level 5 wilderness without the sign popping up. The sign took up approx 50% of the game screen.. How much bigger did it need to be? Regarding the teleport bug - TRADE IN A BANK. That's why I refer to people as incurably stupid. It's really not hard to avoid being 'lured'. Thank you very much, but I believe they just fixed a bug. They are trying to improve the community. At least be grateful for that. Your only ranting about this because you care about how long it takes you to get your gold. If you are ranting about how much longer it would take to train the skill, have a good step back and discover what an MMORPG is please. I don't believe it was a bug. The wilderness has been that way for 6 years, most people do seem to have the hang of it - big sign, little numbers ahhh, I'm in the wildy. The issue is that they are not trying to improve the community in an effective manner. Luring, quite rightly was made against the rules, but improving the community would punish the wrong-doers (i.e. Lurers) not those who play the game within the rules (i.e. Abyssal Runecrafters). I am "ranting" about a slow skill being made slower for no good benefit. I'm sure that the mentally challenged who lost out to lurers previously will find a suitably brainless alternative to lose their belongings and whinge about. kingbd
Right, here are my views on the ditch (Which I haven't seen yet cause I'm about to go metal dragonning) I'm OK with it tbh, wildy = Dangerous But for all those whiners out there (Look at this) Here is a suggestion for Jagex, why not make an option on the wildy warning thing to make the ditch go away until you log out, like the current one goes away after the first one. Rizwiz
I think is a load of rubbish, but the only good thing about it is that we are now rid of lurers XD! <%[-Kyle-]> so i stuck my head out the window and screamed >.<

Barihawk
Pfft, never use the Jagex rants forum as evidence for anything. They all threatened to quit, join WoW, and then cut themselves when Jagex changed the textures on chainmail, "ruining" the Dragon Chainmail. My heart is broken by the terrible loss I have sustained in my old friends and companions and my poor soldiers. Believe me, nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won. -Sir Arthur Wellesley
chris1216
Heres a wild suggestion for all the people crying about the update ruining runecrafting: 1) Get over it (tough one i know) 2) Don't runecraft through the abyss 3) Don't runecraft at all I know, I know, I sound like a psycho. But it's worth a shot.
berbatovsky
I want to be the small but loud voice of reason here. Runecrafting nats is THE BEST WAY TO MAKE MONEY IN THE GAME, it is MEANT to be slow to stop it being stupid like, OMG i can make 1.7 mil in an hour and basically making money useless. - that paragraph is for all the people saying that runecrafting is already too 'hard' (hard is the wrong word, it isnt in any way taxing mentally or physically it is just SLOW) I see this update as a solution to one 'problem', luring, now its harder. The secondary effect is that is slows runecrafting down, maybe this was intentional maybe it wasn't, i don't know, i'm sure if enough people complain something will be done to balance it. I personally am not bothered, but then again i don't make my money from runecrafting. What this update proves is that a number of people will complain no matter what changes Jagex makes, it also proves that people are prone to exaggeration :). malo2
for once in a long time I'm quite dissatisfied with an update, whoever is blind enough to not see the gigantic sign only deserves to loose their items. What an ugly looking ditch too... Lastfm
Soma2035
If you PK, craft runes through the abyss, train on dragons, etc. BE CAREFUL, teleportation block spells are no longer lifted if you log out and back in. gspbeetle
Today's update made teleblocks continue acting on you even if you logged out. We've had a think about this, and we're making another change now, based on ideas people have posted on the forums: - If you are teleblocked, and you leave the Wilderness (by walking, dying, entering the Abyss, etc.) the teleblock will end its effect immediately. You'll be able to teleport as normal. - Since it's not so useful to teleblock someone who isn't in the Wilderness, the spell can no longer be cast on people who aren't in the Wilderness. We'll be keeping an eye on how this goes. If it isn't working out, we can make further changes. there are movements going on... yet, still bad news for green dragon slayers... I've noticed a few people saying that this is now the case. THAT update is even worse than the ditch for the dim. It really is rare for me to complain about updates, normally if I don't like them I just ignore them. But really, I doubt that even with considerable thought they could have come up with worse updates for the runecrafting community. Antaeus
In every updates, peoples saying something is ruined are soooo funny! :D Nothing is ruined, its different. Its the way it is now, deal with it or quit. Usually, JaGex will alter an update if there is a general outcry (especially if it's regarding a result they hadn't intended or perhaps overlooked). Who knows. Maybe they'll add something more to it to make it less of a nuisance to Abyss runecrafters (assuming they hadn't intended it to be :P ). I agree with some though, it puts a dent in the amount of money being brought into the game. I say it's discouraging to Abyss crafters, but it's not so bad as to be repelling...So, it's slightly slower (and maybe more dangerous?), but you're still flying compared to the more 'conventional' ways of getting to the altars. It was slow and is now slower, but the playing field is still relatively 'even' because all abyss crafters have the same obstacle before them. Dodging the pkers on the way to the mage is a different story, of course :-k

So you know, only a small percentage of the people who use the abbys can make 1m + an hour, most make about 300k. I have to agree though to be lured into wildy now is almost possible, as you would have to be foolish enough to not only go near wild boundary but to hop over the ditch. Blog to all 99's! SirHartlar
Wow for once I am quite disappointed with an update. Jagex have hinted to us that we are getting this month: -Bracelets (a highly anticipated update) -Goblin Makeover -Links between Keldagrim and Dorgesh-Kaan Assuming there are no more updates this week, that leaves us with two more weeks of updates left in April. I would like to see how the new bracelets turn out, but we have been promised things before and not had them. It would be a shame to look back on April as a month of useless updates. Please excuse the whinging, I don't do it too often so I think I am entitled to have a little anxious rant every now and then.
anish00b
so wait, if the autoers are getting stuck and pkers will kill the autoers then...maybe this is a way of jagex making the players kill the autoers and report them at the same time..so it benefits two things: a.)jagex dont have to have a mass ban(as some may remember) b.) pkers get a new kind to kill and this thing about lurers. The average IQ (as many many many many of you tipiters have said) is low. so basing it in that fact, yes some people would be stupid(didnt have any other word to use) to get lured and lose their items. this is just a resassurance from jagex to those stupid people. signature your as this use backwards this read to enough smart were you if^^^^read backwards^^^^ http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=757562&p=6009903^^^^The Best Melee Training Spot In The Game^^^^ http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=786213^^^^The new Bandits^^^^ even i have the misfile craze!!!
