SportsGuy
I found out about RuneScape from searching on Google, plus a reference on the MTV website. I never heard of MiniClip. gameboypen
I found out about RuneScape from searching on Google, plus a reference on the MTV website. I never heard of MiniClip. Well personally I found it my friend's brother's group of friends. Thank god not Miniclip.
tuttle43
I heard about RuneScape from a friend back in high school, before RS was advertised on Mini Clip. I've killed over 20,000 dust devils while training to 99 attack and have still not gotten a dragon chain.
rook_2222
Even though Miniclip brought in good and bad publicity, I don't think it was a good idea. I still think evetually that population would find out somehow (friends, family, etc.) F2P for life :D

paaaaaaaasta
yeah, in fact, I have no idea how I started playing Runescape or what inspired me to go to runescape.com but I'm neutral about the topic whether miniclip "stupified" Runescape even though I see lots of seemingly illiterate people around lumbridge Llama song FTW! elit9
From a player's standpoint, yes, I would have to say jagex putting RS on Miniclip was a terrible thing. But was it their worst decision ever? I'm absolutely positive Jagex didn't (and still does not) think it was a bad move, think of all the extra revenue they got from the increase in memberships and advertising fees. Jagex is a business after all, and from that perspective I'd have to say it was a great decision.
Guest Armagedon46disabled
made them more money im not gonna go in to nerd talk like elit9, plain and simple it made them good money, and probably one of there best decisions
HyperViper
You are right, the majority of players on RuneScape are those begging kids that have no life. I know this because I once went to this RS event at my library and every single person there, besides my friend, this one guy, and me, was some kid age 12 or under that acts like that on RS. I've seen these noobs in real life.. Ugh. And miniclip does open up that, however, if it wasn't for miniclip, I probably wouldn't be here right now. Miniclip was how I found RS, I was a noob myself. But awkwardly I wasn't a terrible noob, I was really stupid, (I was confused) I thought that 1k was a ton of cash, I tried a few scams, which didn't work and I stopped, but I never once begged, ever. I also invited many friends, so just because JaGex put RS on miniclip, I joined, invited a few friends, who invited some, and so now there's probably 15 or more people who have joined because of me. kcire
Hardly! Although it was the worst decision for the players, think about how much more money they have rolling in because of miniclip...
Screechingmu
I found Runescape on Miniclip, so I think it was a good move by Jagex for me :D. But otherwise the amount of new and immature players that do come from there ( I know a few irl that say they have played, and are way to immature in my opinion). You just have to deal with it and hope that it doesn't get any worse. My Guide to Killing Green Dragon Autoers

Caromon
It's still on Miniclip. And if it weren't for Miniclip, there wouldn't be an Oddment1 (me). Jagex should go ahead and take it down. The little kiddies that would be attracted have gone to Club Penguin where mommy and daddy approve everything they do there. That's a level of annoyance Jagex could never get away with. Club Penguin is cool don't burn it... But I do hate little beggers. My friend told me about RS so that is how I learned 'bout it. Putting RS on Miniclip had some pro's and con's Pro's -Brought a lot of people to RS which was good for the economy because more people gathered items -Jagex made more money and though many people say the dont care about the community but the money but the money goes towards updates and everyone likes updates -Adds some decent players Con's -Lots of little kids without parents who care what they play come and generally they are kids who become beggers and scammers, and talkative ones that spread the word to their bratty, spoiled friends It was good and bad but at least Jagex tried to filter out younger kids with the age restriction which parents would notice.[/u] P.S. I remember giving iron sets to low levels and once I just teled from the mossies and gave a guy with a black pl8 legs and body a black square shield and he followed me around saying,"Hey I'd like a helm too n00b." I just thought are you serious!?!
warren211
*sigh* the usual idiotic, one sided stereotypes against younger players and Miniclip, said by someone who was obviously as immature at that age. I'm fed up of these age rants. Not all little kids are immature, not all Miniclip players are little kids, not all little kids are beggers, and certainly not all beggers are little kids. This age rant includes a large amount of stereotypes that frankly make people seem more immature than the "little kids" they rant about. [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. Poopingman
I'm fed up of these age rants. Not all little kids are immature You're right, they're not. But most of them are. So mathematically, one can assume the inclusion of more youngsters into the game has done more bad than good. Look, I started playing when I was 13 back in 2001, and I never acted like this.. Shahrazad
So.. do you think that Jagex allowing Miniclip to host RS was their worst decision ever? I sure do.. Not really, if it wasn't there I wouldn't know about Runescape :D. Plus, maybe it is another source's fault, not Miniclip. No one would ever know practically ;). *Started Runescape in 1st of August 2005*.

mrpez
Just because you don't like what it resulted in doesn't mean it wasn't a good decision for Jagex. Putting RuneScape on Miniclip gave Jagex a lot of business and that's all they care about. Your needs are 2nd to their money.
Hajutze
I may be wrong but it depends on the players from miniclip not miniclip it self or something like that ... if it wasnt miniclip i wouldnt find about rs. my main point is - it doesnt matter if you come from miniclip or not , there is always 2 types of newbies 1 (me) - can you tell me how to make an armor ? 2 - pl0x fr33 st0ff Im playing ~3 years by now , I have never asked for free stuff , just small help tips ... It doesnt matter where you come from , so the Miniclip wasn't a bad idea ... like they said - more players = more money =/= more noobs. (there is diference between newb and noob)

Invisible_Kid
If Miniclip didn't host it...Invisible_00 probably wouldn't exist :ohnoes:. In my opinion, it's time Jagex should get out of it because.. -It isn't on the top ten games anymore...not even on the Action/Multiplayer Game category. (unless you view all the games in those categories.) Scroll down and you'll find it though . -I know being greedy when it comes to businesses is good but...Immature players? Sometimes they grow up but some remain. -I don't know...weird layout? :XD: |Cancer Survivor|2 years ago...She was a stalker?!!?http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/5394/s ... adyjh8.pnghttp://img45.imageshack.us/img45/4107/s ... dy2lp0.png

Str4lif3
Because I did not searched for "runescape" or "mmorpg free" on google i'm automaticly classified as a "10 years old kid"... I was just bored at school in my lesson of computer science (yea google traductor ftw :| )and decided to go on miniclip with some friend to see if we could find some multiplayer game. we found runescape. It was not working on school computer, ( iMac are nub :-# )so I tried it at home. It was 3+ years ago
Fleetsy
I just ignore people who ask for free stuff, unless I know them irl, or pretty well. :P But Miniclip IS for Children, and RS clearly states when you join that you need to be 13 or over.. so in a way it's breaking the rules. :P Achieved 99 Woodcutting on 12/06/
