Facebook is extremely useful. I allows me to leave messages for my friends in case they want to come over, or it also allows me to leave messages for the school group that im president of. My page never updates correctly, and if it looks like it did on my end, my friends will tell me my page will either not load or loads weird. So I figured these problems came from messed up coding for my layout. Although when I would remove all html codes I'd still be told that my page wouldn't load. Facebook may be plainer looking, but it at least works right. Granted you'll find some application that won't work right, but that can just be easily removed. Myspace's text/background layout seems extremely illogical and is painful to my eyes (text scrolls while background stays still??). While on subject, I find it interesting that it used to be that people would ask for each other's AIM screenames, and nowadays it's all about network private messages which aren't live conversations (waiting for replies isn't my thing, I'd rather call the person or send an email but not in between). Facebook got worse with opening it up to non college, also adding applications. Some applications like chess, pacman, tetris are good though. Almost everyone I know uses facebook now. A lot more organized layout. Mature general users. Extremely bright staff. Not as many limitations. No one is beat up at school because something doesn't, or wasn't perfect/right on their account. I lost count how many times I changed my profile to in a relationship and it wouldn't tick over and also how many times you send out an application like 'hotness test' or whatever to everyone and it says you only sent it out to one person. If someone added you to their hot list, it would come up that you had added them. It caused a lot of conflict between my partner and I because I thought he was adding all these women to his hot list but when he told me to log in and check it was the other way around but face book had come up with the wrong information. I just thought it was so crappy and too many small problems with it for my liking. Yea, lots of the Developer addons are pretty stupid and buggy. It should be fine if you just stick to the regular Facebook-default applications, though. I prefer Facebook. I like myspace because you can give someone your URL and they can find you easily- it's good for music, and you can personalize your profile more, add photos easily. Facebook is good for apps such as Poker which is the main reason I go on there. I hate trying to upload/change photos on facebook its just so meh. I also don't like how facebook reports me all my friends finding e.g. person x just added person y, so what?? I don't care :@ A friend to all is a friend to none.
