Tim
I am at my limits. I am so close to finally snapping. My sister is supposed to be looking after her own [bleep]ing Daughter, instead dumps her on me and babysits her friends' son who's 5. when I tell her she needs to be changed and to take her so I can get ready for work, she waits until the kids not looking, she [bleep]ing grabs me by the face as if shes trying to tear my [bleep]ing skin off and tells me "your my [bleep]ing brother, you will help me when I need it, mum said the same. now get out of the house" THIS ISN'T EVEN HER HOUSE! I AM NOT HER [bleep]ING CHILD SITTER! And to make it worse, I CANT DO ANYTHING! If I hit her back I WILL be charged for assault, if I tell my parents they'll do NOTHING, the police would laugh at it because "we're sibilings" and to top it off I cant get help from centerlink to move out from an abusive environment because my "Parents earn too much" What the hell can I even do?!? where the hell are my rights as a human!? Completely ignore her. Literally act like she does not exist. Do not respond to anything she does. Do not take care of her daughter. Do not speak to her. Do not acknowledge her presence. You may want to inform her that this is what you will be doing from now on, or you may not. Above all, do NOT allow her to make you feel like this. Assume Nothing
If she's neglecting her own daughter, and you haven't consented to looking after her, then you have no responsibility to look after the child. You're feeding your family exactly what they want - you're an easy target. It may be important to realise that, but I digress. We've told you all before - do something about it. Just stop being a doormat. For example, do not take care of your sister's daughter unless you want to and you agree to it. Do not let yourself be pushed around. If anything physical happens again, push the person away from you and/or take them into a submission position (if you feel confident enough to do so without fear of police). stevepole
Been playing a decent amount of SWTOR the past couple of days. Being sick kind of encouraged it. Also planning on sort of reconfiguring my workout routine to get back on a 4/5 day a week workout starting next Monday. I've been kind of slacking doing only 2 days a week since getting my internship a couple months back, granted I do have 4 days off including the weekends but I prefer to relax on them and save them for more rewarding activities. Will probably aim for some some sort of end result as running a marathon or century bike ride or something..
Randox
It's pouring rain outside today, and I have an appointment at the hospital to go to, which is a goodly 15+ minute walk. Normally I don't really mind, but its not that warm out, so getting soaked could end up being a problem if it means freezing at the same time. Tempted to get a cab, at least on the way there (because it matters a lot less if I get cold on the way home, since I can just change and hug the radiator till I'm warm again), but that would be coming out of my food budget <_< The joys of paying your way through life all on your own for a year, while trying not to get a student loan  Whatever, I'll figure something out. Just put a waterproof coat on, bonus points for having an umbrella, and you're sorted. Racheya
I wasn't aware of that. All I know is that I've had to walk a lot in the rain so many times... you get used to it after so many years of walking to school in the rain. Though on a similar subject, my grandma has apparently bought me a new coat. My big coat I have now is fine, it's decently warm but not padded so if I want more layers I can put a jumper on underneath. It's pleasingly waterproof for £15 from Primark. I told her I didn't need one, but oh well, it's the sort of thing she does. I edit for the [Tip.It Times]. I rarely write in [My Blog]. I am an [Ex-Moderator]. Randox
There seems to be a misunderstanding. In general, I am actually quite fond of the rain, and if its warm enough I have no objections whatsoever. I only gripe about it when its less than 10 degrees and super windy, because while I might not object to being wet, I do object to freezing. Also, Obfuscator is correct, I am in the Maritimes. And problem solved. The appointment is tomorrow, so if I had gone I would have shown up 23 hours early (yeah, I remembered the time wrong too). And this is why I have a calender. This does remind me that I need to get a replacement rain jacked, since my waterproof one has a nice rip and hence is less than waterproof now. My backup coat for warmer weather when I don't want to feel like I'm wearing a furnace would be pushing my luck just a bit on two 15 minute trips if it doesn't have time to dry. I also need to liberate my gigantic umbrella from my parents.
