Oh well. Maybe you could point out "positive reinforcement" to them. Tell them that it hurts your feelings that they don't praise you when you do well but they get on your back when you do poorly. Let them read all about it and discover for themselves that they're really screwing with your self esteem etc The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours. They're the ones that care, I could care less how well I do in school. I'm not even learning anything. But they never really celebrate my good grades. Just get mad at me for my bad ones. It kinda makes me mad. :/ That happens to a lot of people. At least you have good grades to begin with. Ever since I started 7th grade my grades have been going down, currently I average 40-50% in most subjects, and can only manage 20-30% in math/s. I suppose getting good grades is its own reward. I can sympathize though. My sister has been getting lousy grades for the past two years and all my parents have done is yell at her. She used to get good grades though, and I have good grades, yet we've never been congratulated for it. Not like it really matters if you get straight A's in middle school, but still... Then I went to the mall, encountered some idiots at a bookstore yelling about random crap (DUUUDE! COCAINE!!! HAHA!! OH MY GOD THEY HAVE MAGAZINES ABOUT GUNS?!! WHAT THE [bleep]?!). Bought some curly fries from Arby's. Spent an hour trying to fix a problem on iTunes. Watched a college basketball game. Pretty productive day. The real estate agent was supposed to tell us when someone else was interested in the shop lease. However, instead of doing so, he has already signed the forms. Definitely will not be going through him nor his agency again. Come to think of it when all the costs have been added up etc I might go directly to his competition. Brent listened to that on youtube and I'm like wtf kind of porn have you been looking at now... I click on it and discovered what it really was about. Oh and today I discovered that I enjoy watching the big bear house. The last few days I've been watching all the kiddy cartoons with my son and I discovered that their program has a lot of awesome life morals. And I'm so drawn to the fact they have taken the time to show them to children in their programs. Like today, someone didn't want to be partnered with someone else because they were too quiet. Then big bear came along and said he should give her a chance. Then he kept speaking over the top of her and big bear came along and said I think she would like to say something. Then turns out she had a great idea. Long story short, the dude eventually found out that he had judged the girl too quickly and he really appreciated a lot of other things about her. Then the whole moral of big bear today was appreciation for others. I was just like wow, what a good show lmao so now I watch big bear house every morning :lol: The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
