Star_Fox Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 from my testimony, i think dragon claws are better then ags in terms of special. it's because dragon claws can perform 8 splashes in 3 seconds which makes it a preferable weapon for pvp, increases the accuracy and strength according to the KB and the small defence bonus it gives when worn. This thing where players are capable of hitting six or so squares away with the spec, is that intentional? I mean, if other melee weapons are capable of the same, then this was intentional. If not, than this is a glitch/bug and Jagex will fix it in the next couple of weeks or next May.... I have a bit of experience with specials, but not enough to verify whether this is a glitch or not, so I'll let the experts judge. It "works" with other weapons: though not intentional. It's something "funny" called lag.. If you pk on your "home world" you'll notice there's a lot less distance (though never it really is 0). This problem especially happens on fast hitting weapons with a "slow" motion, and no walking motion.. (ie it happens a lot with a crossbow, or the saradomin boss monster)... They could fix it by adding a walking-attack-motion to the claws. However since they didn't bother "fixing" the saradomin boss, I doubt they'll fix something minor as the claws. If you just pray BEFORE the claw attack starts, AND you wield good armour it isn't really that amazing. Really my friends hit more on me with an AGS that way! Really it's just that people are so stupid (or call it "honourable") to not put on melee pray at the sight of an melee-er that makes those claws to godlike! sumondskull6 Posted December 6, 2008 Share Posted December 6, 2008 the max hit was thought to be 40-41 at first, because its one strength bonus more then d mace (no shield) and d mace is 40 max no spec. there is a 48 bellow, this leads me to believe the max hit could possibly be 99 with all of the specs combined, and that the "chance to deal great damage" or whatever it says, imo means it can increase the max hit, or that it just gives 10% bonus to strength (or whatever % it may be) the max hit is at 2:06, if you want to see it in the video, it also nerfs ALL these theories about the spec being max hit first two, and the others are halved. he hit all 0's and then smashed him with a 48 on the 2/4th hit. Then this guy comes and uses a drag claw spec on me, I eat like crazy (well, all I had time for was one monk) and then he lands the 2nd spec and easily kills me. Really, where is the skill in that? If you hit on the first hit, the second is half of the first, the third is half of the second, rounded down, and the fourth is the third + 1. If you miss on the first hit, but hit the second, the third is half of the second, rounded down, and the fourth is the third + 1. I havn't seen enough of hits where you miss the first 2 or 3 hits but hit the third or fourth to determine anything about their characteristics. [hide=image][/hide] That guy was dieing. No way to tell what those hits really were. IMO It's a natural 18-9-5-6. Two attacks landed first, WITHOUT KILLING HIM. They were 9 - 9. The next two hits were 5 - 6. The only reason I haven't uploaded the clip is that it's a huge AVI file which will take me 30 + minutes to upload, or 15+ minutes to process and 15+ minutes to upload. Want to learn to Nex?
