Might be a stupid question but do extreme potions work for herblore?

I heard that the RC stone is best gained by just RCing normally instead of the currently-popular "one-by-one" method, could anyone get info from a Jmod on whether or not this is correct?

Well, if you consider that you have a chance to get a Strange rock once per "click" of whatever skill you're getting (one swing of your pickaxe, one log burnt, etc.) it does make sense that the 1-by-1 Runecrafting method is best.

Crafting an entire inventory of ess/pess at once is only "one click" for the skill, while if you drop the entire inventory and craft them one at a time, that's 28 individual chances to get it.

Well you'd think that, but at zmi altar you get the rock in between (!) different stacks of runes, so for example: nat, body, rock, blood, air, etc. This implies the rocks chance is based on the amount of essence instead of the amount of crafts. I failed to take a pic of the 2 rocks ive gotten through zmi, but it was like this both times. I'm not saying this is *true* I'm just saying it's to be considered :P

Also: theres a bug with smelting gold ore, you can't get the rock with a full inventory atm.

Crafting one essence at a time is now slower than crafting all at once: 15-16-917-60500468, see Mod Maz's post on page 154.

She also comments on pages 137 and 152 of the same thread.

Hopefully we'll see some more good changes in the future. Apparently we'll have to wait until the system update next week for any other changes, although maybe bonus xp weekend will require an update?

Rocks can now be gained from binding runes normally, and it will automatically give you a chance of getting a rock for each essence used. No more binding one rune at a time!

Hunter rocks can now be gained through tracking, so our low level players can now do this too!

Other updates will take longer as they are not things we can change without rebooting the servers.

Thank you for your continued *constructive* posts. Still here, still listening!

YES NO MORE 1x1 runecrafting!

Might be a stupid question but do extreme potions work for herblore?

no, only unfinished pots (except serum).

I heard someone on RSOF say he got an herb stone in 400 overloads, so i'd imagine extremes work too

btw shouldnt we be catching wind of the first 2 replica pieces being assembled soon?

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like it would be within the next 24 hours, since I don't know that anyone completed all 30 of the original pieces in just a couple of hours. If they had, it could be tonight yet.

Can you rake patches to get the statue bits or do you only get the statue bits from actually harvesting farm stuff (does plating count?)

Pretty sure you can only get them when harvesting.

Any tips for the agility rocks?

I got mine by jumping a low wall on the Agility Pyramid. (With a sanity break in between. XD; )

Just Finished my statue and added to my House:

As you see.. No Reward

Talked to guys at Museum, nothing new/different...

So no reward, Jagex just Rushed this update and haven't even made up their mind on the rewards.

Right... So because you don't like the fact there isn't a reward for putting the replica together, you assume that jagex has rushed this update... Ever thought they intended it to be like this? It makes perfect sense to me that a *replica* doesn't give an exp reward. Don't expect the full statue to be anything big either.

/edit: wouldn't expect something like that from a maxed player btw

Indeed. I'm really glad Jagex are catering to people who don't want everything immediately. I hope there is a decent reward at the end, but at the end not the beginning because people can't be patient for once and actually have content that can only be done over a long period of time. I'm really glad that every update they aren't caving into the instant gratification that the masses demand.

Same. Without that, this would be rather useless update, something comparable to "skillers' champion scrolls". Oh well, guess I still have to keep getting mine...

The fact that it will take 58% of a year to complete is what makes the majority of people want some sort of reward in between or have the rocks grow exponentially because the museum staff should be learning more from the statue each time and therefore learning how to make replicas better; well....that's what I think is logic ;). Sadly, I'll be getting the rocks everytime just because I want to know what the reward at the end is. Hopefully, it's something ground breaking.

The reward is having the full statue in your house something most players wont ever finish becuase it takes a really time to do. That is the only reward, a status symbol showing you have put alot of time into gaining a piece of the game few people will ever finish.

Erm logic fail.

This thing has 0 requirements to do in any skill.

So though it will take a while it will be easily doable especially by newbs who are more likely to skill hop and get the stones every weeek - fortnight from their normal training.

I don't see how his logic is fail when he RIGHTFULLY pointed out that it's something many players wont ever finish due to it taking a very long time to complete. The Runescape population is not the Tip.it community. We're probably the only ones who care.

I don't think he is right.

Just because it takes a long time doesn't mean people won;t do it.

It takes a long time to get a 99.

It takes a long time to complete all the quests.

It takes a long time to do most things in runescape, but a lot of people still do them.

Especially when it has no requirements at all to successfully do it. You can get the statue pieces just as easily at lvl 1 as at lvl 99

I think his logic is quite sound. Paw's at least - though Everyonedies is too.

One: you can't know that, but two you're right. It is a status symbol, but that doesn't mean it's unpopular. Why do people do champion scrolls or make money to buy rares like party hats? It's all because people LIKE to have status symbols showing they devoted either time or money to something. Sure not loads and loads of people will do it, but that's their choice. Just like how loads of people don't PK or loads of people choose not to train certain skills - people have the choice. I really don't see how having more choice in how you play is a bad thing.

So, if everyone's logic is sound... your point is... ?

Just like Paw_Claw, you're totally missing the point of Everyonedies post.

Who said that people wont do it? I certainly didn't say that. Everyonedies didn't say it either. We both agree that a majority of the population will not finish it for the same reason that the majority of the population haven't completed the Champion's Challenge or their 4k Chompy kills, both of which are easily doable at lower levels.

EDIT: That said, this is a stupid and pointless argument, so don't expect a response from me.
