Now now, it is a very anticipated update. As 1 in 10 people are illiterate, that leaves a good 600,000 active Runescape members (estimated) that cannot read the front page.

Yeah I can see that I'm going to be re-buying members in a week. Mainly because I don't want to miss out on a holiday item, but also because I want to see the updates with my own eyes. They have definitely been preparing this, but for how long I wonder. Just like any other update (but much more so), I'd recommend nobody even tries buying any items for about 3 weeks after the update. The prices really will need time to balance back out again.

2 weeks doesn't mean they've been working on it. It's not exactly a hard or time consuming thing to do, and MMG said he'd get the entire team working on it once it's official (now)

Well -- one thing is for certain -- I am not going to wear ANYTHING of value ANYWHERE for at least a week. Just to make absolutely sure we don't end up with another 6/6/6 fiasco and another Durial321 wannabe ... :unsure:

Well its pretty good in my opinion. I was actually glad when the Wild was revamped to include Revenents, but I found Player Killers were better because they at least had the power to show Mercy (but whether they would or not isn't relevant).

 

I hope drop trading will return, because I miss drop parties most of all. I always had a blast brightening up noobs days when they found they won a free Granite Shield just like that.

For the sake of argument -- if they're going to bring back "free trade" -- will they also bring back the "unlimited" quantities of items in General Stores and other similar places?

They said that it will be the old system. Not the new system when they posted the update.

Ok then..

 

I think that Jagex can because all they have to do is go back in their files, update the graphics and some of the code, fix some patches and so on and they have wildy and free trade ready.
