yessssssssss. reel big fish is amazing. i have nearly all of their albums. "cheer up" is my favorite.
  2. this disgusts me. what is the world coming to? there are people working to find cures for cancer or end world hunger, and AL GORE of all freaking people gets a nobel peace prize. gf world. :x
  3. - I can't take you seriously since you used the word "hood" in your original post. - several people i know collect guns(strange, yes, but legal) and are particularly interested in military-style semi/fully automatic weapons. either way, this wasn't even addressed in the original post, so why does it matter? - yes, the laws are lax on gun control, and while i'm a gun owner and hunter, i do believe something should be done about gun laws, but no one will compromise, which is why nothing happens. gun control seems to be the one subject that liberals and conservatives totally switch opinions on, where conservatives want more liberal gun control laws and liberals want all guns banned because "0mg gunz k1ll p30pl3!!!!11!!" "just remember kids, guns don't kill people, dangerous minorities do!" no, i'm not racist, try watching family guy sometime.
  4. yes... this is probably the best analogy i've ever heard for christianity. =D>
  5. alan already said it, the check will bounce and you'll already have lost your wii, and probably the extra money he wants you to send him in return.
  6. that would be the seal of passage from the lunar diplomacy quest. pretty "un-useless" if you ever want to go back to lunar isle.
  7. i'm pretty sure that inter-species relationships are illegal. :shame:
  8. "Survival of the fittest" is actually a reference to evolution. In other words, the species most responsive and adaptable to changes in their environment will survive; those who are not responsive will perish. It doesn't merely mean humans are born with an instinct to survive. ok maybe that was worded badly, but what do you think makes them responsive and adaptable to changes? it's the strongest/most instinctive ones that will survive the longest.
  9. dang this forum has gone downhill fast since the introduction of the "hot topic." :?
  10. to me, this argument has a clearly defined answer, unlike most other discussions. humans are born with instinct, to inherently place thier own well-being ahead of other's. this is the nature of living things, or "survival of the fittest." however, some acts of instinct are "evil" even if they are intentional, or planned. examples could be stealing someone's wallet(you wanted/needed more money to increase your quality of life), or more disturbing crimes that could be how certain people get pleasure out of life. if you look at the "why" in nearly any crime, it's almost always to help the person who committed the crime. BUT, humans also were given freewill, by whatever GOD/EVOLUTION you may believe in. so we have the choice to decide whether to steal that ham from the supermarket to feed our family, or to sacrifice and get a job so you can pay for it legitimately. this is why we need laws. everyone can agree that when everyone sacrifices a little bit, the quality of life for EVERYONE goes up by a huge amount, but when a few people are selfish, everyone else suffers. i have a lot more to say on the subject, and i use my views on this to determine my views on most political subjects, most notably abortion and capital punishment, but i won't say any more now because i'm hungry and i'm going to eat lunch.
  11. 1. yeah, because no biased person has ever gone on to get a master's degree or higher in a field of science. 2. there is a difference between treating the earth with respect and completeley shutting down society as we know it, which is what seems to be the goal of so many eco-fascists these days. 3. as long as you aren't hugging trees we won't call you a hippie.
  12. umm. yeah they did, i can remember a few years ago when they were 400 each.... deaths were over 350 each, and i sold all my bloods from barrows at 600+ each. prices have always fluctuated, this update will do nothing but make them stable. i can't see this hurting anyone except for autobuyers.
  13. in my experience, you get what you pay for. if you pay 20 bucks for a wal-mart airsoft gun, it'll be fine for a few days, then it's junk. UTG is kinda the in-between brand. not so expensive, but it's significantly better quality than off-brand guns. however, once you've owned/used a high-end gun like a TM/CA, there's no going back to a cheaper one. also, the airsoft shotguns are not shotguns in the typical sense of the word. the one i had would only shoot up to 3 bbs at a time, and was infinitely more accurate when you only shot one at a time. if you're looking for a spray of bb's like a real shotgun, you'd have to look into the grenade launcher types, Mad Bull makes a good one, i've heard.
  14. this is not true. many people in rs judge you maybe not by your appearance but by your skills and items you have. it's irritating and those people usually go on my ignore list, something i wish i had in real life. on topic: i'm pretty much the same person in rs, because i don't feel the same way about the internet as most people do(anonymous, so it doesnt matter how you act)
  15. which is the same price as karamja. i love this update. \
  16. this update is pretty much just what i had expected, after checking out a few shops. rune prices are slightly higher than current market value, just enough to stop bots, but not enough to raise the price of runes all that much.
  17. or, you know, do ANYTHING. get off the computer and go outside. work on a car, go ride a bike, play paintball, anything. yes you'll get dirty, but you'll have fun.
  18. It isn't good to be close-minded like that. If someone presents a fantastic argument, what if it does change your opinion? You might say that it's unlikely to change your opinion, but give people a chance possibly. i'm not closed-minded, i'm just very set in my opinions. I like hunting, and I like eating meat. I don't disregard other people's opinions, I simply disagree with most of them. i've read studies that claim that it's impossible to be healthy without at least a little bit of meat in your diet, and i've yet to personally meet a healthy vegetarian. so no, i guess it isn't required to live, but it certainly makes the quality of life better. you don't require the internet or a computer, or any of modern technology to live either, but would you want to live without it? i certainly wouldn't, and i'm not giving up meat unless vegetarians give up the internet so i can stop hearing all this bs.
  19. the only time i drink beer is when playing beer-pong. (yeah we play the american version of it, not the original ping-pong style. it's fun, and we don't have a ping pong table) any other time, it's usually vodka or rum, sometimes whiskey.
  20. so true. :wall: eating food somehow heals your flesh wounds. you can fit multiple cannons in your backpack but not more than 28 shrimp
  21. to answer your question simply, i don't have a stand for or against animal cruelty, because there isn't a solid definition of what constitutes cruelty. so what i do believe is: Humans come first. call me insensitive, whatever. i believe that humans are superior to animals. i am a hunter, i enjoy eating wild game. is that cruelty? to some people, yes. to me, the only animal "cruelty" that should be punishable by law is unnecessary cruelty, such as what is described in the article. it doesn't contribute anything to or protect anything from anyone. in cases of self defense, such as a man shooting a dog to protect his child from injury is justified. hunting is justified because it provides food for people, and there are even groups who work to distribute unused wild game to the homeless and other charitable organizations. flame me if you will, but it wont phase me or change my opinion.
  22. i'm a fascist, middle-grounder. obey me!
  23. see? this is what i've said the past 3 elections. i said a trained monkey would be a better president than gore or kerry, and we got one.... of the current candidates, fred thompson's got my vote, simply because he's the least irritating to me. every time i watch the news i'm embarrassed for our political system.
  24. just one? i may not be that up to date on politics, but i'm fairly sure(99%) that every president of the united states has been a caucasian male. that said, i'm voting in this election, and of the current canidates, none of the democrats will win any of my votes.
  25. do you have to wear a seal of passage to bank at the lunar island?
