More and more I realize my city has turned to anarchy and everybody is okay with it.

In the past month alone I've seen ~5 civilian vs cop fights (either student protesters or drunk), around the same number of bar fights (including a stabbing), drunk people vs street cleaning struck fights (these are the best), bus driver vs hobo fights.. thats the fights.

I was in a bar when a bomb threat was called (twice), ~40 police showed up with paramedics and bomb dudes but nobody cared, we just kept drinking. My friend offered a hot woman cop a drink to lighten the mood.

I got my life threatened by old Irish gangsters (same bar, actually).

The sheer number of people out on the streets half naked after last call during F-1 weekend (half naked people being imported prostitutes) and the police force required to calm them down.

To be fair, checking over your right shoulder is a pretty pointless endevour no matter how much better the view is, because there is a gigantic blind spot beside you if you do that (your not checking behind yourself so much as your checking beside your car). Right shoulder is for going backwards, left shoulder is for merging. Before you do the test again, figure out where you need to move to so that you can actually see over the left shoulder.

 

There's nothing I really can move, it's just my height coupled with poor car design. I use a combination of the left mirror, rear view mirror and right shoulder check to see if I need to check what's to my left. I'd see how it could be a bigger deal if it was involving actual merging or lane changing, but this was just moving around parked cars on a 2 way street.

 

On another topic, it's still disgustingly hot here. We finally had some rain today, but once it stopped it was right back to +30°C. I really need to move somewhere with more moderate temperatures.

I'm not sure why you would need a shoulder check at all to drive around parked cars... Around here, you just drive right up to the line and keep on moving, and make sure any opposing traffic has noticed your situation and gives you some space (and if they don't, then obviously you wait for them to pass). Anyway, for tests humor them and do it the way they want to, and if you actually can't see out of your left side windows with a left shoulder check (rear doesn't matter, generally only vans and suv's can see didly squat backwards this way) then I hope this isn't the car you normally drive, because that's kind of dangerous during left lane changes.

 

And I don't think I have ever enjoyed being a moderate climate more than I have this year. It gets cold, but not too cold. It's normally not too hard to dress for the weather and not freeze. It also doesn't get to warm, nothing taking your shirt off wont solve when doing some yard work or whatever. Mostly we just have very consistent breezes and some rain.

Kelly Blue Book is failing me right now... I want to see if $8,500 is a good price for a '72 LeMans with 93k miles. No idea on the engine/anything, since I'm not automobile-savy, but it looked ok, and it sounded ok. But yea, KBB is only letting me look back to 1992 cars <_<.

Since the other young guy at work gets all the effing weekends off I told the manager I'm going away this Mon-fri on a holiday and the other git can do my close shift (single). I so want to quit, sick of getting the shit shifts while he gets to go out drinking but nooo. I need the money and until I find another job. <.<

You don't need to get drunk to have fun. But getting drunk often makes things more fun than they would be otherwise.

I know it looks weird, but it is a gaming mouse lol. It can be totally customized in terms of not only buttons, but in how big it is and how much it weighs. I'll see if i can find a video review on it.

I passed all of my University courses this year, no retakes! However, I have no beer to celebrate with, and the local Tesco closed an hour ago. I think I'll eat some jelly babies.

Haha, that's wierd. I also get cranberry limeades during happy hour. One time at Wendy's I had to wait about 10 minutes for my food so they upgraded my fries for free. The best part was that I would have had to wait for a train to pass if they'd given me my food immediately.

Saying no straight away may be the best thing to do, but gosh it tends not to feel like it.

 

 

In other news, I get tot each a karate camp next week. 4 hours a day for 5 days showing 7 or 8 kids how to kick and stuff every morning.

Best part is I get paid for it.

Well if you were gone just a couple of days, of course no one knew, since everyone takes a few days break. It's just when you're gone for a week or so that we start wondering.

And I'm off as of Sunday I will be off of TIF for 6 weeks as I'm going to camp, getting paid 60 bucks a week to go and good food though... Only thing is that I had just resigned myself to a lazy summer :(

Either way its going to be some fun and not some fun.. Only annoying thing is that I got accepted to a course that is rather hardcore with me doing drill for 90% of the course.
