Is there a way to check f2p hiscores? I remember someone talking about it being done through funorb, but idk how it works. Also, would any1 happen to know the progress of El popo1 and Water?

Based on Elias's + Elvis's gains, it looks as though they are chinning.

Has anyone spoken to them to find out why they are choosing to?

Elvis is @ armoured zombies

Elvis was chinning, and has now reached 200m Ranged. Congrats to him. :)

Water is still active, as for el popo I'm not so sure (probably still plays)

Water is rarely on the account 'Water' now, plays his members account. :-)

Water has announced on the RSOF that he is quitting his F2P account, due to not enjoying the game anymore, which is something I also contemplated for a while, due to a few updates that I found especially displeasing. But thanks to encouragement from friends, I decided to keep going, maybe not at the same pace as before, but still ^^

Yea was created by me more of as a joke, but i was hoping to bring out an "idea" that would hopefully be so absurd that it would catch the eye of someone at jagex to hear an opinion from them, or maybe even be able to have a chance for them to pay attention to the suggestions of part of the player base. although i will admit, a joke/troll thread idea may not be the best way to accomplish this but there are so many legit threads that rarely see a jmod post, but many troll type ones that get jmod posts. would just be nice to see some interaction outside the hlf in all honesty.

i was hoping to ... maybe even be able to have a chance for them to pay attention to the suggestions of part of the player base.

You sure think a lot of yourself.

Also, regarding your thread on RSOF, Jagex have explicitly stated that they do not want suggestions to go into detail about game mechanics and the workings of the idea on a gameplay/balancing level. Suggestions should be a general idea, and leave the balancing to them (I know, sounds stupid, since it's Jagex, and... yeah, however, that's what they want, and that's what they might listen to)

While I see S U O M I has been gaining attack xp at a tremendous rate over the last few days, I can't help but wonder if that's really the most efficient thing to do. Given that Jagex just completely upset effigies and, as far as I know, nobody's collected enough data to be sure what the new rates are like, it may be better to do something else for a while until more information is in. A few weeks of woodcutting, for example, would be quite safe to do without any risk of wasting xp.

He's stated several time that he doesn't strive to do the most efficient methods available, but prefers to be as efficient as possible in whichever methods he chooses. While your suggestion might be true, I don't think he's do it =p

excuse my noobiness for not using hide tags, i havent really taken time to learn how to use these forums yet. i certainly dont think very highly of myself, i was merely trying something. i dont think theres anything wrong with that, and i dont think it was necessary to bring that up either.

Hmm i wonder what the best tasks to do are with the effigy nerf

I know it can't be calculated until we find out how much it has been nerfed but things like black and metal dragons are worse now right? It's still gonna be mostly cannon tasks like spectres and hellhounds and bloodvelds and black demons though

Pretty much the same list minus irons, miths, steels (though irons with SoA are good), but adding Jad (should be a piece of cake these days) and perhaps doing dagannoth kings instead of lighthouse if you're high combat (should be efficient at around 5m/hr income assuming effigy rates got reduced by a factor 10). Abyssals might be worth it too, especially with SoA.

Update of the top 15 2/12/12 - 2/18/12

1. S U O M I: 3.942B xp (+52m xp)

- S U O M I pulled in about 38m summoning xp this week using the new 10-12k pouches/hr method. With the recent effigy nerf this week, our top player has stated that he will continue train on cave crawlers for 200m attack experience. However this is not set in stone as more efficient methods, may start to pop-up over time. Now the question is, can he still make it before December 21st? He also reached 50m att and 3.9b xp milestones.

Coming milestones: 30m base

----

2. Jake: 3.314B xp (+9m xp)

- Not satisfied by his destruction of RS wildlife, he has turned to fauna? Jake continues to spend his weeks woodcutting with the adze.

Coming milestones: None in sight

----

3. Elvis: 3.150B xp (+34m xp)

- Elvis opened up his effigy stock pile for over 5m xp in Runecrafting, then went onto chin himself to 200m ranged xp for his 9th skill at 200m xp. In the process he passed Jdelacroix for rank 3. The highest rank he has achieved in the top 15.

Coming Milestones: 100m magic

----

4. Jdelacroix 3.146B xp (+8m xp)

- Jdela reached 200m farming this week, a skill he has worked on for a very very long time. Huge grats to him. He is now closer to completing every buyable skill on Runescape. mage/range/summ/hp are left. However it would be inefficient for him to train them via the "buyable" process. Jdela continues to powerslay, and in the process reached 80m slayer. He lost a rank to Elvis this week.

Coming Milestones: 200m Thieving, 100m Defence, 50m Rc

----

5. Elias: 3.100B xp (+50m xp)

- A very similar week to Elvis, he dumped his effigy stockpile for 8m slayer xp and finished 200m range via chinchompas.

Coming Milestones: 100m Farming

----

6. Drumgun: 2.954B xp (+4m xp)

-Continues to fish rocktails with slight crafting gains. Looks like he uses xp lamps in slayer.

Coming Milestones: 200m Woodcutting

----

7. Telmomarques: 2.871B xp --Inactive--

8. Allar: 2.680 xp --Inactive--

----

9. AlmostLost: 2.507B xp (+20m xp)

- After dumping his effigies, he has turned to power slaying. Almost slaying at the speed that S U O M I, was pulling last summer. He is also one of the few people to implement daily char burnings. He also passed the 2.5b milestone.

Coming Milestones: 100m slayer

---

10. Kingduffy: 2.449B xp (+6m xp)

- The usual training close to every skill.

Coming Milestones: 100m Ranged/Magic/Slayer/Hunter

----

11. Zarfot: 2.353B xp --Inactive--

12. Green098: 2.276B xp (+5M xp)

- Trained slayer with every style besides range as she is 200m.

Coming Milestones: 50m Slayer

----

13. Paperbag: 2.252B xp (+13m xp)

- Continues to plunder deep in the desert. He should pass Green098 for rank 12 in about 2 weeks.

Coming Milestones: 200m farming

----

14. KngKyle: 2.249B xp (+12m xp)

- More xp this week than usual. He opened his stockpile of effigies, and continued his goal of 200m woodcutting.

Coming Milestones: 200m woodcutting

----

15. Pope712: 2.234B xp (+20m xp)

He gained about 7m dungeoneering xp this week, but I think it was from spending his token on dg xp. He also opened a bit of effigies and trained slayer. Still a very fast week for his usual pace.

Coming Milestones: 200m Hp, 100m Summoning, 50m Farming

Outside the top 15:

Dapledo has done a few dungeons, so perhaps he may go all the way for 120 dungeoneering. He also got level 98 dungeoneering.

Da broman1 is literally the closest player xp and time wise to 50m xp in every skill. He has 23/25 skills over 50m, with prayer at 30m, and construction at 40m. However he showed no signs this week of training either skill

No players are showing signs of entering the top 15 however pretty much any player over 2.1b xp could train prayer and easily enter.

Also, if other people want to do top 15s just post, and I won;t make one that week.

We are working on it. My slayer model is still relevant, I just need to get in the new effigy rates. Once those are established it will take two seconds to work out the optimal task for whatever needs you may have. But I wouldn't be surprised if NPCs like Abyssals, ice wryms, waterfiends get much more value in the "slayer hs - skilling hs" function since effigies no longer over power the other sources of xp. Ie. slayer xp, and charms.
