I mean, I knew phats looked bad on girls but I never thought THAT bad :rolleyes:

 

It's a minor graphical error. You can make the phat look normal just by taking it off and putting

it back on. The same thing happened to santas and D med helms but could also be resolved

by the same method.

Jagex changed the amount of phats needed to make a GE update, causing them to move more readily. Also, 3rd age was beginning to top out at that time.

 

Truthfully, I think there has to be some sort of a catch with this free trade and wilderness return. However, if there isn't, I don't think 3rd age will rise too drastically because there is so much of it out in normal circulation now. People will still do clues and, heck, Jagex might even have a world or two with the wild that is free of PvP especially for clues, quests, and activities, instead of moving them all over the place. I don't think any calls can be made until we see what really is going to happen.

With no set GE value, what happens to coinshare? I read the referendum and it mentions removing the upper and lower price limits on the GE. This would kind of constantly change the value of items. How would coinshare split the cash if the value is always changing. Or maybe we will get a better loot system?

 

Average price of items sold/bought over the past week would be one way.

 

If divine and ely prices go up to match their street prices, could this mean that coinsharing corp could be a lucrative alternative to lootsharing corp?

Almost all elys/divs will be sold through the GE.

This is because there will be no reason anymore to junktrade.

 

I think coinshare corp will be more profitable than lootshare, since your lsp drops 10% a day.

I believe they will keep some kind of standard price of a item in the ge, but remove the restriction on it.

That way, coinshare could still exist.

Normal trades as standard price would a freeticket for manipulators.

I'd guess GE would have no limits, so you'd be able to buy/sell someone for any price. However, that seems crazy.

Well, with a free trade market, GP will not be undervalued like it was for so long durring that 76k'ing inflation (and to a lesser extent now) so I'm sure most people won't worry too much if they have a large cash pile. Though, those people with over the trade limit could be looking for other items. But with an open GE people could lock away 6 piles by offering 1 gp for 2.14B of any item which is pretty much people do now, but far less risk.

 

Also, I'm sure the really really rich people are just going to keep stocking up on rares like those people who bought hundreds of eggs / pumps / disks when they were 100% junk and just wait the market out.

So Fury Kits are finally crashing? Will this last? To be honest I didn't expect that they would ever truly crash. There's really not a better amulet out there, as in, every decently wealthy player uses an Amulet of Fury, equalling pretty widespread demand...

They crashed pretty soon after the poll was announced. Everything with street did. It's non-rare and purely ornamental, so I'm not surprised that its days were cut short. Same thing happened with kingly crowns.

 

As for druidic, I think the each of the 4 clothe pieces are worth more or less a yellow, same as before the poll. Not sure on staff.

There is nothing else that can hold large amounts of money right now. Torva will be hot, but many merchants have hundreds of millions already to put into new items. The thing is, partyhats have always and will always be cash holders. Right now it's a panic sell of JUNK not partyhats. But, how are you going to sell the junk? Well silly! With partyhats of course. When everyone starts trying to get rid of their junk what happens? Someone drops the price to get it sold, then others follow, causing a drop in street price. Junk is going to be useless is free trade is brought back. It seems like, right now, the white partyhat is doing the best. Blue is down to white+purp for blue+junk. Half wine tanked to red+pump for wine+junk and many other partyhats fell hard and are selling for straight cash in some cases. If you're a major merchant who has junk from trades or, sadly, price manipulation, you NEED to get rid of it ASAP. You have many rare items and that's how you can not end up losing billions. From my experience with the market, partyhats will rebound after free trade is released or even sooner. Expect to pay upwards of 1B for some of the hats though ;).

This brings up something I didn't think of that I will address in a second. Currently, elysian is under market value (450M-that's over 100M under mind you). Right now, if you plan on lsing corp for selling the shield only, CS would be the way to go. However, most people at corp only are at corp for the purpose of obtaining the shield for personal use and not monetary value.

 

With coinshare (assuming they do NOT edit GE prices manually), somethings might be more profitable to coinshare because of their GE value being higher than their free trade value. This could be very useful to monster hunters who want to make a very good turn over, while the picking is good.

Best of luck with that. Not a soul is buying them on the GE right now, unless you get it in very quickly after an update.

The reason rares have become so overvalued in the last few years is because of the existence of the Grand Exchange's trade limits - the 5%-rise-per-update rule kept the Grand Exchange price of rares well behind the true street value, and as a result rares became exceedingly hard to buy and sell.

 

Once free trade is returned, the price of rares will stabilize, and violently. I predict that the eventual street price will fall somewhere between the current Grand Exchange value and the current street value for each item, but undoubtedly there will be a violent period in price fluctuations before this level-out occurs. To rare owners, I can only suggest that you remain calm and keep your bearings for the first few weeks - thankfully, rares are the only thing that will have a guaranteed value in the future.

Any predictions about torstols? One could argue they will go down now deflation will be the new trend, however, the influx of all those old pkers should raise the demand too, right? And if Jagex decide oerloads to be accepted in the wild, I think it's safe to say we can expect prices to soar.

Also, I discussed with some friends, and I'm pretty sure it's in top 5 of the rarest items, competing with wine/cracker/war ships, any estimates on this?
