TDC
A death is -12%?dont worry too much about dying once or twice, much better to die than spending time begging for food/altar. Also not being too worried about dying means you don't wait for other people to enter the gd. I say I average just over a death a floor Glacors Drops - 33 shards. Armadyl Drops - 1 Chestplate. 1 Hilt. 2 gloves . 2 Skirts.
notasoupbowl
someone asked me to post what my notepad looks like during a floor: ye we n ealt n w s tui yyboy 94 smithbemis bl pmeam cr wemc If no name then it is from ht. Mc had his own path for a while and solo'd it til denk. At this point we were doing a gd and I told yyboy to take gt to 94 smith during it, then took gt back to gd. Saradomin_Mage
I suppose it would be better to write down the name of who gates what. I often leave just the key name of a gate on my notepad, then scream "WHOEVER GATED GREEN TRI TAKE GGS AND KEY"Quite impersonal and less effective :( In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. notasoupbowl
i write everyone's name on a seperate line as I overload before a floorand 3 blank lines for ht keys or near ht, can always add more or del if I want.

Or is it neglegable at 6k to 74 DG? Dying really isn't too big of a deal. I probably average about 1.4 deaths p/fl.What is a big deal when ppl dont go into rooms when they have no pray or food. Not a lot of them in DGS, but i still note the odd 1 or 2 when i do lower occults. Then i make a mental mark not to dg with them again obv. :)

Or is it neglegable at 6k to 74 DG? Almost everyone will die at least once per floor, usually due to a Forgotten Mage/Necro/Reborn de-hooding you and you getting piled by everything. Dying for prayer when there isn't an altar yet is fairly common too. Flashing Soul Split, prioritising your protection prayers, kiting and safe spotting can help keep you alive but there are situations where you know you're going to die so it's better to go out in a blaze of glory than hide somewhere :P Personally I don't mind dying 2 times per floor unless one of them was avoidable, anymore than that and it starts to get annoying since the xp starts slipping away. xpx
Dieing is something you can learn to avoid once you get better at dungeoneering. At first, i used to die more than once per dungeon, but getting better and knowing how to protect yourself without slowing the team has brought my deaths down to around 0.5 per dungeon. Alot of keyer deaths can be put down to the team aswell, as there is a strong correlation between how good a team is and how many deaths the keyer has. First to 99 Farming on 27. brunokiller
I've dged over 1m xp with you guys - I want cc on that. Also I've had a few comments on my ammo bind.My stats are 60 attack, 88 strength, 94 mage/range and 45 defence. 56 runecrafting. I already have a gorgonite maul and a SSH bind. I am NOT getting 70 rc (not feeling like running in circles for 20 hours) for 50k dg tokens, higher attack or defence. Obviously due to the maul's crush style, with melee style I'm not very useful for the team for zombies, hellhounds, demons, dragons etc.. It boils down to bloods vs laws. What should I choose? I can already craft laws. My blog

I can already craft laws. That's really a situation where your levels keep you from being effective in dungeons. Unless you can get 70 rc, your combat ability won't be able to keep up to your hp level(which i presume is quite high). Whenever you get 100 dg you'd definitely need box and cele cat(emp cat/fire could do aswell). As of right now, bloods are about as good as laws in your situation. First to 99 Farming on 27. z0diark
Edit: I forgot to ask, after getting tier 10 Berserker, what should I use my tokens on?Blazer/blitzer>gatherer. I imagine you have a csb bound so the extra damage you'll do when maging will be worth the upgrade cost. Also, gatherer is useful when farming (and mining prom too I imagine) so it's worth upgrading. narnarkille2
For my 3rd bind, is it best to have a promethium rapier bound until i find a primal rapier? Or is it too weak to be useful? And would a empowered fire staff be better than a rapier until I find a celestial catalytic staff?
Saradomin_Mage
If your magic level is higher then CCS would be better, and you should learn to craft fire runes with minimal time loss.If you can't cast fire surge then you should get a rapier instead (promethium rapier is about 1.1% lower DPS than primal).I'd suggest getting CCS though, DGS direly needs more surgers. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. Octarine
Well, today was my first real day in DGS :) and it was great! :D Thanks to everyone who keyed on floors with me today and put up with my unhoodedness... However, as soon as I get a hood I'll be throwing myself at this keying lark, and actually can't wait! :DThanks again all :) Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Dragonlordjl
So this begs the question: Where does a blood necklace rate among third binds? DGS has an ample amount of Hexers, and needs more surgers, so would a CCS be more valuable than a B neck?
homer205
So just to be clear, for third binds excluding blood neck and hex, it goes ccs>primal rapier>empowered fire>prom rapier?
Quyneax
Might rate primal gaunts over prom rapier, but that sounds about right yes. Obtaurian
This is gonna sound weird, but despite the usefulness of a celestial staff, you really can't have more than one on a team. Two people competing for the extra runes/essence is going to make them both less effective overall. Prom rapier is about 2% less DPS than a primal rapier. It's hard to rate the usefulness of third binds because variety is always better. For example, we now have eleven hexes in DGS; five hexes on a team REALLY sucks. <_< The only bind that you can have in abundance is a blood necklace (or primal gauntlets I guess), which is partially why it's such a great bind; you'll never encroach on the territory of other items with a blood necklace, and the more blood necks in a gd, the easier it is to pull monsters together. It essentially promotes teamwork. :P To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.
All_Is_Great
^ That's all assuming maxed stats right? What would be the order for stats <99? I plan on getting 70 rc (wow pain in the ass), doing it with peng points, and eventually max out melees and mage, probably get 90 slayer as well because I do serious dging past 100. But I'm just curious what the lower tiered items rank relative to each other?

Otherwise couldn't they log out and in between gds or does that waste too much time collecting your gear?
