Dean Ambrose
(I think this is a controversial topic, don't move to questionares) This is a question i've had on my mind for a while (a week lawl) lately, and I think it's truly a big deal to major 'scappers. The question: Where would you be in life if Runescape was never made / never found out about Runescape? My answer: Probably hanging out more w/ my friends and girlfriend, and I would be more focused on schoolwork (still am good though :P). thestig0
Hmm, I would definetely be in better shape and I'd probably have more of a social life (not that I don't have one at all), I'd also probably have better eyesight too. ladycai
I'd probably be on the 2nd AP class that I didn't apply for D: 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
hellbellz
I know where I've been since I stopped playing Runescape. Not at the damn computer most of the time. Here's a tip for people who are addicted to this game, find something else you can do that involves human interaction, limit your time on here, don't quit it entirely if you still like it. If you stop playing entirely and you want to play, it will still control your thoughts.
mervinator_9
Probably be alot more bored... Way i see it if i hadnt started Rs, id just be playing more xbox live or Wow or something. Saying that im not the type of person who gives up stuff in real life for Rs (not intentional anyway), the only exception to that i guess is maybe my schoolwork but that hasnt been affected to badly so i dont really mind. (my english might be better to, 1st sentence phails hard) Theres a fine line between not listening and not caring,I like to think I walk this line every day. Pinning blame on Jagex is like trying to put pants on an old man. You both know he needs them, but he'll just keep dancing around, avoiding them at all costs. Master_Smither
Lets see: I like 15.5 miles from town and I can't drive yet. I'd most likely be watching TV or maybe doing some yard work. Without out many friends that live anywhere near me my social life is well at School, after school activities, and when I get a ride in town. Maleficus1055
Well, since i've semi-retired (only playing to chat with friends who've moved), i've lost weight, gotten more of a social life, and gotten better grades. So the answer is: much better off. Tumblr. Follow me!
Warrior_B666
I honestly don't know... :? But since I'm reading so much manga now, I guess I would be there a lot more. And I would probably be hanging out with friends a lot more, maybe actually trying to beat my video games that I haven't beaten yet. [hide=Funny Quote]Cbow! Cbow!!!!! +120 range is orgasmic. Omali
I'd probably be playing another MMO, one similar to Runescape. Probably be playing Ultima Online.
Lep
lol yeah I'd have better eyesite that's for sure. I can see without glasses/contacts but it's sort of like...low detail rather than high detail. I only wear glasses in my room though, no one gets to see me with them on ever. But I don't care, it's fun for me playing the computer. Everything on earth that is fun to do harms something or someone in some way or another.
Flyingjj
Two Words: World Peace. :twss: Seriously, though, it would be nice to have the hours of time back, though they were hours of enjoyment, I think I could have done so much more. No sense dwelling on the what-might-have-been though. I do wish I knew what life would be like though.
ddaanniiellh
I'd probably be playing another MMO, one similar to Runescape. Probably be playing Ultima Online. blackroses51
Probably with some successful art or music career. But seriously though, since I've semi-retired from runescape I don't feel the motivation to play it anymore and I get a lot more done (even if most of it has to do with wasting time on facebook)
Intriguing
I haven't played for the last year and a bit, and it hasn't made me any more social or focussed on my school work. Granted, I was already fairly social when I played. Of course if you all didn't play RuneScape you would find something else to fill your time, but it wouldn't necessarily be something more productive or social than RuneScape. Cool. brando13a
by now? master of the universe. but seriously, I'm not totally sure, all i know is because of where I live in relation to those i know, I'd probably be a world class cyclist by now from travelling to keep the boredom at bay. I cant say i'd be doing much better in school- 90+ in every class, with much slackery and shinanigannery aswell. overall- I'd actually have to go with my first statement- Master of the Universe! edit- 100th post \ Reverents can be a pain, but you can run away from them. Ezz
I'd find another game. I'm one of those who is always playing some game :P I won't stop, ever. But if I didn't play games, I guess it would be a bit like it is right now, because I don't play that often actually. [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying. Salad
Runescape was the main source I learned english (Almost perfect english in only 1 year of playing :)) and that's why I'm in the best class with all my friends and my girlfriend. Also I wouldn't have meeted Tip.it (Ilu all tip.it) and my friends.
dark1wraith
I'd be playing a different videogame, honestly. but if i were to forgo videogames entirely i'd be in better shape, have somewhat better grades and be bored stiff.
Giordano
I just have to say that without RuneScape I would not be in the position I am now. It set up a chain reaction that got me to where I am now. Let me explain: At first, there was the years of big change...from elementary into middle school. I had a good group of friends, tight with each other and all but at the end of elementary school we all got seperated into different middle schools and we were lost after that, including me. For the next two years in middle school I had two good friends but nothing strong or anything. 8th grade was the jackpot though: RuneScape. One of my friends introduced me to it and we both played. This kinda got us into a more connected relationship. Then the other friend played. This got us more connected that before and we 'explored the world' with each other then: made new friends, did some crazy [cabbage], and really have some good damn fun. At the same time, RuneScape led me to the Tip.It community, whose Off-topic members really opened my eyes. I become more aware of the world around me and stopped being a ignorant little kid. During playing RuneScape I made some little movies which made me realise my hobby: (machinima) filmmaking. That is still going on to this date with my friends; both old and new. Also with the more connected relationship between me and my friend, when he choose Latin for a High School foreign language course I picked it also. Normally since I speak Spanish I would of gotten Spanish S (for native-speakers) but nope, I choose Latin, which ran out of spots so they put me in French. There I had two crushes (both failed btw) that made me realise alot about both relationships and people in general. And that's what got me to today. Without RuneScape my friends and I would of never gotten to this solid-connection state, I would of never gotten rid of my ignorance without Tip.It, and never would of gotten out of my shell and never of made the many friends I have today. So my responce isn't a "Oh i would hav a social lyfe lol and a hot gf who stole my virginityl ololol" but instead, "If it wasn't for RuneScape I would of been like Ceasar: an annoying stupid asshat Mexican kid in my school" "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." The Observer
I'd be completely bored and several things in my room would be destroyed as I use RuneScape to help control anger. I would use other video games, but I don't have a game system or a great computer.
Star_Fox
the same as i am now. runescape hasn't impacted me in any way. the sole purpose of playing was to pass time, chill with other people, achieve stuff and have fun. now i just realized i've been this game since i started my teens and now that i'm close to reaching adulthood, idk if i should switch to another game. :wall:
Bauke
I'd just be off playing a different game, I think. Wouldn't have a lot of impact (if any at all) on my real life stuff.
