Well he was lvl 138 :P, and the leader.....

 

 

But this starts happening more and more.. People either hog up all the food, yet if they die they simply log out of the game. Leaving you with 4 people impossible to beat the dungeon..

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

 

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

 

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

 

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

I've been trying out this skill today and I like it. :) I would like to see in the future more areas to train this skill. Oh and, Tears of Guthix is an easy way to gain so many levels, I started at Level 1 and I jumped 10 levels after a 1 run at ToG. :razz:

and binded the primal maul not knowing if I had just made the biggest mistake of my dungeoneering career.

 

Hardly a mistake considering if it turned out you didn't like the maul, a promethium spear is easy to get if you find a good smith.

(how is the maul though, in comparison to the spear?)

 

Its hard to find a 90 smith, and even if I do sometimes they don't want to make me one out of pure jerkiness, or sometimes they get pissed off at me for doing the infinite money trick for hours on end trying to scrap together the 416k needed. I got my prom spear because a very nice level 138 fellow with all 99s (except dungeoneering, of course) made me it along with a gorgonite platebody.

 

Prom spear had like 127 stab I think. Primal maul has about 157 crush. I know most bosses are weak to stab, but I think having a massive crush bonus will make up for it. Maul is only 1 speed slower than a spear too. But yes if I had a primal spear I would defintely choose it over the maul. If you have a choice of weapons, you should ALWAYS choose the spear.

I've had both the Primal Maul and the Prom Spear... And the Prom Spear is far better. Just because the maul has 30+ more attack doesn't mean anything in THIS skill. From F30-35, most monsters are resistant to crush... To the point where it's like fighting someone with 400+ crush defense. Whereas, if you can use stab or slash, it's like fighting someone in addy armor, even with the low slash bonus of the spear.

crush for plate, stab for chains, and slash for barechested ones. :)

Or just take him down with magic if one in your team mages.

Is teaming with random people in w2 better than soloing? Today I had quite a bad experience with the people as I spent over 2 hours to earn a massive 30k exp because the idiots wouldn't give me food so I died twice. I can solo in around 8 minutes earning 35k exp per hour.

I've been soloing from lv16-44. The random people are normally very uncooperative and all they care about is picking up drops. So even if in a perfect theoretical way teams earn faster xp, I'm sure soloing is faster and more enjoyable, unless you know your team.

I solod from 1 to 60 doing one dungeon in around 20 mins, getting like 12k xp an hour max. After that i resorted to RSOF 5:5 large dungeons and got ~35k per dungeon in ~1 hour 15 mins with much less work. This skill is defenitely team based and soloing is ridiculously undervalued. The teams on RSOF are always very well led and i have yet to be frustrated after doing around 12 5:5-s.

 

By the way, why isn't primal warhammer mentioned at all? it's more accurate and a bit less powerful than the spear, but you do have the luxury of wering a kite. Also, spears are rubbish against plate bodied monsters.

+10 more range accuracy than rune cbow, + no spec, = about what I expected. If I were to get all chaotic weapons, this would have to be second to last. Last of course being the staff because it's basically a degradable version of the SoL with but one more mage accuracy but no spec or rune savings.

The one that degrades at 200k/hr should be better. Also, you don't need 93 slayer to use an SOL. You do need 80 dungeoneering, which is a pretty big time investment. If they had just given it a 20 or 25% magic damage boost and then made it 2h, it would have been fine.

The one that degrades at 200k/hr should be better. Also, you don't need 93 slayer to use an SOL. You do need 80 dungeoneering, which is a pretty big time investment. If they had just given it a 20 or 25% magic damage boost and then made it 2h, it would have been fine.

Does anyone have a picture of the staff yet? The Chaotic Crossbow looks really cool; I have high hopes for the staff...!

Oh, and I figure they made it 1h because it's the only magic weapon released, and they probably intend for it to be used with its corresponding shield.

~ Speaking of, do we have any pictures of the shields yet? I'm curious about those as well...

 

Also, does anyone think that they will release a +20% necklace with batch 2?

If they do, they damn well better release the ability to sell back rewards for a 100% refund.

 

+1. I just spent 3 weeks to get it because it is the best mage item you can get. If better is released... Lol.

I can tell from the pic, regardless of the text that the boss is rammernaut...

 

only thing i hate about him is that occassionally my familiar will refuse to attack him.

 

And that sometimes he won't stop charging and i can't get near him >.>

I don't really like this skill actually. Probably because I haven't played in a while and I'm stuck at level 5 and everybody else is at like level 50 Dungeoneering. -.-

 

But I guess I have to train it to get the uber awesome weapons.

Well I am convinced that the primal maul and the prom spear are pretty much the same thing when you average it all out. Even if I had the prom spear I wouldn't be bothered to switch styles to take down different monsters because I'm trying to train defense right now so I'd always leave it on the Stab - Defense option.

 

If they release a boss that drops primal spear though, I will defintely take that over the maul.

Yeah, it was Rammernaut. The annoyance being that after he uses his charge he apparently counts as a player, making him immune to vengeance, hence the messages.
