I can tell you about the battle field 1942 series. they feture large- fairly authentic maps of the battles of world war two. they have almost no story, are non linear (even if you win every map as the germens you will still end up holding berlin against the russians) they do have a very large selection of vehicles to drive and fight in. as well as quite a few classes of troops to spawn as. battles are all about attrition and takeing spawn points. over all they where fun but the absolute lack of a story line and total linear play dispite how well the battles went gave a feeling of futility to them. the combat engine is not the greatest ( I meen things like death scenes of soldiers/ vehicles the acual armour pirceing and weapon power was right on for the most part) and the graphics are abit dated. however I would recomend it if you want a mindless shoot them up/ war of attrition/ take the spawn points game. I never liked how if you had less spawn points than the enemy you would start looseing respawn credits or what ever you wish to call them. it seems to me that the fact the side with the most spawn points also has the most vehicles should of been enough without that, it just makes battles a mad grab rush for the spawn points instead of about stratagy. so I would give the battle field antholalagy (pardon the poor spelling) maby a 7.0 out of ten... Good but certainly not great. basicaly its ment to play online with others and not against the AI. their are newer one's though and Im sure some of the before mention complaints have probaly been addressed and solved in battle field 2... or else I don't see what all the rage is about them.

you could try rome total war and Lord of the Rings the Battle for Middle- Earth. I have heard the former to be quite good and I play the latter myself. its a little dumbd down for a rts though. but then again so is age of empires in my oppinion. however it does have one hell of a nice map of middle earth and a good interface. the in game movie sceens set the stage nicely as well. and its got nice music, Iv been playing it sevrall weeks off and on and havent gotten tired of the sound. Just be sure you meet the minimun specs. it also has sevrall sequils that I heer are quite good but I can't play them on account of system requirements. oh and I whole heartedly recomend to any one who like's rts games the original home world. so long as you can find it for around ten dollars Id definately say its a good buy and a great game. even though its around 8 years old.

hmm most pointless game I have ever played... must of been happy pill. it was on some thing like mini clip. I meen it was fun but had no story and only around 8 levels. [hide] you where the happy pill (prozac I belive) their where these depressed looking smily faces all over the screen. your objective was to make them all happy without over doseing them which would result in their deaths. you pushed the pill in a forwards direction and it would bounce off of walls and happy smilely faces like in arcadea... I don't know how many of you remember arcadea. once it got going though you had absolutely no controll over what happend. if you where successfull and the pill made all the depressed smiley faces happy without over doseing any of them you would go to the nexed level. if not one of them would explode and it would read " oops too much of a good thing" you would then loose one life represented by a pill on the lower left hand side of the screen... I belive. at any rate the levels got progressively harder and harder untill eventuly you beat it and enterd your name into the high scores.[/hide] over all it was a fun (very funny the first few times) but totaly pointless game, it was simply too short.

I could sware Iv seen a topic like this somewheres... at any rate I shall retell the story. my story begins sevrall years ago when I was trying to think of a new runescape name. I already had sevrall but reely messed up and forgot the passwords to all of them. so I thought Bufo would be a original name. however bufo was taken. so I considerd this: im a man, and I like toads. so much so I was known as the toad man. so why not chose Bufoman? theirs already a spider man and a bat man, so why cant their be a Bufo man? looking at Bufo Man I relised it lacked some degree of finess. so I ran the two words togeather to create an entirely new one: Bufoman so their you have it: the origin to my name. and no when I said I like toads I dident meen in a gross way. toads make exelent pets, and are not messy. they won't chew up your furniture and if they are not house broken no problem. the few times you take them out of their habatat if they do let loose it wont be in such a large ammount as to compleatly defile everything around them. further more you don't have to worry about a toads food, they catch it themselves. just stay near them when they are outside eating bugs and keep the birds away from them. if you have a bond with them like any master should have with a pet they won't run away. if they try too it shouldent be that difficult to catch them. or if your like me and reely like to see a feeding frenzy just catch abunch of insects and dump them in the toads habatat. let the feeding frenzy begin! if you cant find them food then train them to eat hamburger from your finger tip. toads will do that. am I wrighting a massive articall on proper toad care? why so I am. Ill stop now.

Numbers and levels are nothing without orginization. if I had 5 level 70's with me and we encounterd a simmiler number of 90+ people out at the greater demons and they where just a teem thrown togeather and the 70's where my men I honestly Think we would come out the victors through cordenated attacks and every one knowing exactly what they are doing. the 90's would probaly pile one guy, take him to half health then start individuly attacking other people or something like that. while we would stay on our targets systematicaly takeing them out. it may be close and we may die but at the very least I think its a situation where we can almost get a draw. so many men and good orginization will usely triumph against few players of higher level. remember the high levels will end up getting piled and need to eat. traditionaly Higher level clan mates are orginized into squads to systematicaly knock out enemy commanders and such. both large numbers, some high levels, and good orginization are key to success on the battle field. high levels alone or lots of numbers meen nothing.

I cant get away from those bots if I wanted too, should I run off to the wild or crandore eventuly I will be forced back into the main Free to play areas. don't even bother trying to chop yews south of falladore, its a compleat waste of time. some times its around ten bots to a yew, per yew not running around to the nexed one. so yes I see bots every time I play. however other rule breakers such as scammers I aculy take notice about once a week to report them. then their are the spammers I give them stern warnings and if they keep it up I report them. Being free to play I get the feeling theirs a major lack of accountability on account of their being so many of them and a major lack of consequences. if some one gets banned short of an IP Ban (if they have those) all they need to do is make anouther account. I have no solution to the bot problem, save make the evil chicken a little stronger. I have seen it get board and go away against a under level 10 bot before. as to the others I think the best thing to do is keep reporting them, eventuly they will grow board and stop playing this game. that is of course unless they have compleatly no life.

Personaly I would like to see such an event take place. the time is fine for me... moveing it back one hour would take some getting used too. however I do propose that if the CTET did such an event it be held one hour earlyer than the normal events so as not to interfear with the scheduel. I think one week is ample time for a announcement about such a meeting. however I strongly urge it to be on a free world, as I myself am F2P. and so are alot of clan leaders our their. about the entry fee: I don't think thats a very good idea, alot of clans are quite poor. maby a 3 strike system instead. the first being a warning, the second a 2-4 week suspensen for the clan from perpicipating in events and the 3rd being banned from them. this would prevent clans from simply pulling out at the last miniute. however thats not reely fair either, I myself have great trouble at times getting to these events on time due to real life stuff. I definintly agree with you about the teem based events, this multible teem nonsense needs to stop and fast. Clans prefer to be in their uniform for one and we probaly won't be getting the bigger and better ones very interested if it always comes down to being paird up with some other clan. about this conclave: its going to take alot of work for it to be properly develped. but I may be willing to brain storm with you some time if you made a new topic about it. let the TipIt community develp this says I. of course we would need admin aproval before we could even make a topic for this and the whole develpment phase would probaly be under TipIt Controll to ensure quality.

Well over all I think this story is not exactly true. 3 against one in that situation I think your neighbor may of been the one takeing the beeting. but that aside I don't think you acceretly described the muzzle flair, since when are they orange? enough of what you may or may not of accuretly described I just want to put an end to all this nonsense about the race and fireing the gun. describeing the race of a perp is not raciest, its proper procedure. further more whats wrong with makeing a distinction? it follows the natural instinct of most people to make a distinction between themselves and some one of a diffrent race, gender, or effnicity. its just human nature and frankly I don't see anything wrong with it. now on to fireing the gun. useing the gun to keep them their so the police could arrest them would be one thing but he most certainly should not of fired it up in the air. its not at all within the lines of gun safety or most city ordanances.

Well besides from the old "rune scape is boring" line (which I myself have to agree with at least for the Free to Play Element), their is the sense of comunity and the help that a clan can give you. if you play by yourself their are many things that you can not do as well as you would be able to do if you where in a good clan. always have some one to talk too while playing is one of these things anouther is help in quests, success whilest PKing if its an experionced clan and much much more. Clans open up the community world of runescape to you, one that you will rarely see much of unless you join one.

Nice to see you have finaly gotten around to introduceing yourselves to us. a question though: how long have you been around? Militos Deci has been around for about a year, well we died and came back in july (of course untill recently we where known as the Knights Of Honour). I hope to be seing more of you at the CTET Events, sorry about the problem with the robes last time. I signed us up on the blue teem with the intention of fighting along side you guys.

hello Dogman. once again we find ourselves in agreement. I feel strongly that the community has been going down hill over the years, players are getting younger and more immature. and now it would seem jagex has started babysiting them. if this keeps up I may just quit this game, every year more and more of the good/ mature players leave and in their place I see immature children come and ask me over and over again things like "where is the neerest bank" follow me please I reply. I then explain how to follow me... lets not get into my horror story about how some of these players are simply too young. if jagex insists on babysitting them then the older, more mature players will get sick of this game and go play something else. then all jagex has to call its costomer base are abunch of children at the mercy of their parrents for funds (or should I say parrents at the mercy of their children?). Jagex if you are reading this I strongly advise you to stop holding these kids hands, let them learn from their mistakes and value your older players more. maby give us some decent updates that we would reely like, you know maby some extra bank space for every month played... even if it was just one I know us life long f2pers would love it. this devalueing the older players of this game is a reely short sighted concept, when the kids get older they will simply play a diffrent game, this game has always gotten its players by word of mouth. it used to be " runescape has a great community with mature players" now its "runescape will hold your hand in a world full of bots and scammers" which would you rather be apart of?

well it certainly won't be a walk in the park, but I think alot of people heer at tipit could begin the frame work such as what is the theme and gameplay like. we keep seing the same old thing with games, fantasy set in a midevial setting. what I would love to see is a true midevial mmo, no fantasy, as realistic as it gets right down to the plauge. in other words it would be more of a simmulation of midevial life. but thats never going to happen any time soon. the closest I will see this year will probaly be middle earth online.

I feel this could be abused, those who hate jagex or want to hurt the abuse system could just start reporting any one in game. a better aproach would be to increase the snap shot time to say one miniute and 30 seconds. that way you can catch them. of course this would greatly increase the file size of a report.

Try Homeworld. if you can still find it its a great game, it won the 1998 game of the year award. it is a space rts, fully 3d and real time. the premise is playing as a alien race trying to find their way back to their homword which they have been long exiled from. the quest begins after their world is virtuly whiped out by... wait why am I spoiling it for you? oh and if you go to game spy's downloads for video games you will find the original ground controll free to download in full coperation with sierra. both games are from sierra so go to their website for more information if your interested.

Personaly I don't like it. I see more and more updates for newer users and fewer and fewer for the old ones. I walked into the wilderness once not reely knowing what i was doing. but that was almost 3 years ago when I first made my account. I dident loose anything I couldent replace with alittle work and perserverance. but now it seems jagex has taken a role to babysit new players. I don't want to play with people who can't figure out the tenth time that this is the wilderness. and I don't want to play with children who need babysat either. If the Ditch was made to combat Green Dragon Auters or something I may be abit more inclined to understand. but reely cant pkers deal with them? and if it was made to stop auters tell me why every time I go pass the southren falladore gate I see about a dozen bots. It seems to me that every year there is less and less resons for us older players to keep playing this game, I fear it has taken a serios turn now for the worse. in my oppinion this ditch is a clear indecation that jagex has taken the side of its newer users without much consideration for the older ones. Was the annoying pop up screen about "Danger you are about to enter the wilderness" not fair warning before we went in? do we now have to cross a ditch?

I think some of you should read this: http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55288 Its about how a pro gun law dramaticaly reduced crime over a 25 year period. many of us belive that had the right people been cleard to carry guns on the campus the shooter would not of been able to kill so many. it is felt that people such as those who are police officers for example and takeing classes should most certianly be cleard to carry weapons on campus. also other right people to carry guns on campus : teachers. not any teachers but those who wish to have them should. a carry and conceal permit for some school teachers in addition to proper training could help to prevent this sort of thing in the future. but im not heer to talk about the tragidy of the recent shooting, I am heer to answer the question that was asked in the topic. I feel this articall will help you to some extent. also in country's where anti gun laws are passed crime rates go up. a importent thing for you all to remember is that gun crimes are not the only crimes. home invasions are a crime that seem to rise whenever their is a anti gun law passed. crinimals can alway's aquire weapons. it is the law biding citizens who suffer needlessly when their ability to defend themselves from the unjust is taken away from them. if the people in the sudan who are being whiped out had been given guns and training to use them by the UN in addition to whatever aid they are getting it is thought the killing would stop. If one does research they will find that guns in the right hands, the just, decent, and sound of mind citizens do much to reduce crime and prevent great autrocity's. about chow and gun controll: he lied about being mentaly ill when he bought at least one of them or so I have heard.

I do not belive this is the right place for you to start a heated debate about gun controll. what you should be talking about is the shooting, what happend. what mesures could of been taken to contain him. gun controll is a entirely diffrent matter. any one can get one on the black market and from what I heer he lied on his applactation for a gun and said he was never declared mentaly ill.
