Quite honestly, unless the boss turns out to be as easy as barrows I have nothing to look forward to this month. Jagex needs to acknowledge the existence of skillers and make a high level skilling update wth profits comparable to god wars. I mean, is 99 str/def/att really harder than 99 wc or farm or fishing or crafting...

There've been how many skilling updates since Corp came out? It's been a long time since we got a boss skillers aren't getting shafted.

 

Anyone wanna bet the new bow breaks after so many shots or something similar?

Hmm, let me get this right, Nex isn't Zaros's right hand man, that's Azzandra (the guy who brought us Anicent Magicks) so that means Azzandra is way, way more stronger than we initially thought.

A brand new ammo-free bow, as fast and accurate as a chaotic crossbow and as powerful as dragonstone-tipped rune bolts. :ohnoes:

 

EDIT: 5 gp says it's gonna be 2handed; which means using it in High-Lvl safe PvP will coe at a risk (No shield)

The new bow for rangers sounds interesting, maybe the dps on the bow will finally make range slaying awesome. Though on the other hand its prbly going to cost a arm and a leg to get.

I hope they bring back the Hati wolf every January. Because if they don't, they've just wasted a bunch of development time on more one off content. As if the lame holiday events weren't bad enough.

 

The new boss sounds really exciting though. You notice how they plan to release that right after the quest that will give us a (better?) gravestone? We're going to need it until someone develops a foolproof method of taking him down.

 

I'm hoping this boss will be truly hard to take down - not like the other weak generals. I'd much rather have a combination of very difficult/uncommon drops than easy/rare as hell drops.

That x-bow will work in the same way that Crystal Bow does in my opinion; no ammo but limited usage.

The God Wars stuff looks great but again, another month goes past with nothing relevant to me <_< Ah well, I've got crap loads of stuff to still do anyway :P

What form of combat does Zaros specialise in? Is this documented anywhere?

 

Magic (Ancient Magic specifically)...

 

And yeah I agree that this new bow will break much like Chaotic crap does atm...

 

Anywho; 15 combat moves:

I'm thinking Poison, Disease or other stat draining thing, Melee, Range, Magic, Stomping if you run under him, something teleport-ish related (or knock-back), unequip your armor and such, Freezing you, Dragon-Breath-like thing, can heal itself + leuitenants, Turns off your prayer, Prays himself, drops mines out of his ass, summons critters to help him, and rots your food...

 

Oh and on top of that, most of these attacks will be multi-target attacks :D

Oh yes. New dwarf quest! It is my favourite quest serie. Too bad I can't prob. do it straight away with my stats. Does anyone have any guesses about skill requirements?

From the sound of it, the new bow won't even be as good as hand cannon, so it might not be that great. The new armor will be interesting, but if it won't have great offensive stats(it may very well be great defensive/ life boosting) it will not be that great. Ofcource, as we will be getting a new boss, all this matters little. Sounds like a great month.

Well the no amunition bow could be ... no runes staff for example ? (I think he meant exclusive magic equipment ... because the boss will drop armor for all the 3 types of combat, but only a ranged weapon)

and the other 4 only drop melee weapons

There will never be a non-combat skill that profits as much as GWD. Remember, part of the reason why it is so profitable is because it is also dangerous. When was the last time you died while fishing?

An interesting thought, actually, what if there WERE very dangerous skilling areas? Like LRC, only far, far worse?

 

For example, a mine where you can't prayer, are skulled, having your stats drained, and where you are under heavy fire by high-level monsters from all combat areas? Then make it instanced or something like dungeoneering where you can only take a limited under of people into the same instance, and give the ore you mine a very high value (able to smelt into something really good, maybe into gloves that boost xp before they degrade, like mentioned in the BTS). Sounds like high-risk high-reward skilling to me. Just an example, of course.
