Sy_Accursed
There will be a free item shop. You will mainly use abilities to deal damage. Source? Whilst the first seems likely the later seems a bit random, surely the whole point is to test the ENTIRE combat system and that includes damage output from the rebalanced weapons and armours not just what the abilities do. Urza285
Not too impressed with the action bar or the abilities, but I'm sure it'll change when I use them and theyll come out awesome nonetheless. Saradomin_Mage
Did anyone feel surprised that the haemorrhaging effect seems to hit constant 500s? In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Urza285
Did anyone feel surprised that the haemorrhaging effect seems to hit constant 500s?What effect? Must be like the bleed effect, but maybe it's like it bleeds out a percentage of the remaining health. Their test dummy was reported to have like 20k lp or something. Anyone else notice it start to get darker in the video; like night time? Also, when he puts the shield on his back and sheaths his sword, that's actually cool as hell. Kimberly
So Special attack is being replaced by "adrenaline". I'll reserve judgement for the beta XD Not really liking how things drop down there...Ah well. That visual stuff is glorious. Omg shields on your backs. Omg. Everything. Omg. The guy who does the intro/outro for these vids soundsl ike the guy who does the commercials for BBCAmerica.

And yeah I think my original coment was moreso about the menus and such because it lacks a certain element of fluidity (which I called from Jagex, but definitely a good start). With this bit of insight I'm interested how players will push the action bars... I'm betting within weeks people will have bar 1 for food, pots, prot pray flashes and bar 2 for fast gear switches or something like that. Having protect from melee, range, mage and soulsplit and turmoil in adjacent keys sounds so sexy... I can't wait now that I think about it. If jagex brought out complex actions of the hotbar it would break the quick prayers. Maxed [February 14, 2012] | Completionist [October 25, 2012] | Trimmed Completionist [in Progress]Visit my Blog! Ruinous Edge
shield and sword back holstering almost makes up for not being able to wield items in opposite hands :DHotbars look very helpful seeing as you can add prayers/pots/equipment changes to themVery excited to try beta now Quest Cape Achieved 10/08/2012TFU: Ruinous Edge http://www.transformersuniverse.comA piece of glass in the sand under your feet, it cuts you deep and it makes you hate the beauty that you see. I don't really give a squat for the name, it could be named Gigantic Testes Bar of Actions and it wouldn't matter to me. I'm mainly talking about its functions :P

Although I got a strange feeling the combat actions might be boiled down for the most part for 'efficiency'. Wait - inb4 a skillers bar comes out. Had to say it before everyone else. And yes, combat actions will be checked for effectiveness. Nobody's going to shield bash a mutated veld to stun them when they are praying melee, obviously. Sylpheed
My first suggestion is going to be the ability to move the action bar. For some reason I was expecting it to be bigger and between the chat box and inventory/quest/task tabs etc. I dont see why they can't make it a drag and drop interface like the squeal button. If all you need is air/fire/water/earth runes for offensive spells what will happen to deaths/bloods /chaos runes? Or are they just trying to turn the whole runecrafting skill into a mini-game? Saradomin_Mage
I think only wind surge needs only air runes, the other surge spells might continue to require death and/or bloods.Don't quote me on that, but I seem to have somehow gotten that from the latest vid. Platinum_Myr
This.. could be very bad for the rune market. Maybe they rebalance other spells to need those runes? I really don't know.. Seems crazy!
